Connecticut (MSG), Sat., Feb. 3, 12 NOON, FOX

So here I am in the town of Huntington hanging with my son. I look at today’s Newsday sports and not one mention of our game. One would think with number one team coming to town there would be something????

Tomorrow...

Newsday's had great coverage for us this year, unlike the past 10 or more.

I agree with this Marillac. What’s confusing to me is that Pitino is a Hall of Fame coach and he doesn’t know how to use these guys. I don’t understand. If we can see this then he can definitely see it. Something doesn’t add up.
I think you answered your own question Gene. It’s not as easy as seeing it after the fact and just saying let’s fix it. Would trust the fact that RP is working on it and that everything he does intentionally is well thought out and given much deliberation. Even if the game plan doesnt work out.

Guys, it's art, not science...

Clayton wasn’t playing with Jenkins again😂 What current guard or wing would come back to St. John’s next year if Jenkins returned?

Conway, Taylor, Luis, Dingle, and maybe even Ledlum would not be here if they could get a mulligan.

You’d have to be brain dead to play with Jenkins again after this showing unless you are a center.

You have to be a Gypsy fortune and story teller to speculate without proof about who would be here or not here because of Jenkins .
You would have to be blind to not see that Jenkins is the Co MVP of this team .

Dingle is the biggest disappointment of this season . Pitino must have owed favors or , been sold a false narrative that Dingle was a bona fide BE player .
The step up in Competition clearly makes him a limited role player in the BE .
And , he’s often injured , sick or whatever . Its pretty obvious that RP isn’t a fan . So , Jenkins had to play with a Ivy League player of the year that doesn’t do much . His Rep exceeded his abilities . Here anyway .

Playing against Columbia , isn’t like playing UCONN or other BE teams .

But ? Continue on your bashing Jenkins .

RP must laugh hysterically if he reads your posts .

To be clear, I fully trust Pitino. I think he was surprised by how ineffective this team’s defensive pressure would be and there’s nothing he can do now.

Jenkins was never meant to be a half court lead guard, but the lack of physical talent prevents us from being an open court team. There aren’t enough easy points.

Is this the argument you want to make?

Jenkins was not even 1st team all MAAC as a 4th year senior in an inferior league to the Ivy. Two of his teammates were 1st team (and he took more shots than both). Neither of them joined him here. So we got third best player from a MAAC team.

Per Zach

Pitino says everyone is good to go for tomorrow

Rick Pitino says idea of playing UConn at Carnesecca Arena next year is off. Likely will play a team like Georgetown there to honor Lou Carnesecca's 100th birthday. #sjubb

Pitino thinks this UConn team might be better than last year's version. Said St. John's has to play its best game to win. #sjubb

....we better not get blown out....i can't handle a blow out.... esp with 8,000+ UConn fans in the building.

Get the boys ready RICK!
Yes, more than anything, please no blowout, hoping for a great game at a sold out MSG

Let's go St. John's!

I sense we'll be ready to play tomorrow. Why not take 24 hours off from trashing our guys as to what they can't do and root for them all to get their games together and finish the season strong?
All good advice for all of us . Me included .
You need to find a new Good Luck spot at your home . The old one isn’t doing it .
