Liked what I saw today, poised, heady and ran the point most of game. Had excellent second half hitting big shots and has nice stroke. He runs the break nicely also. He got benefit of PR going zone in second half and looked a bit shaky playing man initially. He just needs to get stronger, but in time he will be a solid, versatile player for Johnnies.

Wow…. Rainy day here in the North Fork, and with the kids napping, caught the 4th quarter.

I found the game on youtube. Pinzon is a high IQ player and can really pass the ball.
But there is not much u can take from this as its horrible basketball. None of these kids would be on a D2 floor let alone the big east.

I am unaware of the entire roster of this year’s Canadian team but two of the kids are my sons friends and former AAU teammates. Ben Mathurin will be a sophomore at Arizona and was second or third in the running for PAC 10 rookie of the year. Olivier Maxime Prosper will be a sophomore transfer at Marquette this season. The talent level at FIBA 19 and under is through the roof.

I am watching the Serbia/Puerto rico game. This is much better competition then pinzon had against latvia.
Pinzon is the pg. He has hit a few jumpers and had some nice scores at the rim.
He will def need to work and his def and put on some big east size. Hes thin.
