College Players Declaring for NBA

Per Goodman;

Marcus Lee will withdraw from draft and transfer, Kentucky announces.

Not welcome back? I'm not sure their a scholly situation but I imagine Cal counts on kids leaving every year.

There is more to the story I am sure but without 8 five star McDonald's AA Calipari seemingly can't get to the Championship game. :( Five more coming in this year with three playing power forward. Kid wants to star on his team for a better shot at the NBA. It may be a smart move on his part but kids fall for the Calipari bullshit every year. He is not developing anyone, just giving them exposure for a year. Now that rat face fck at Duke, in desperation to keep up, is using the same tactic. Just that at Duke you actually have to attend classes and there are fewer courses on the junior college level available like at Kentucky. If we signed a five player this week this board would be lit up for the entire summer. ;)

A head scratcher. :silly:
Falling into Cuonzo Martin's lap? Too bad Chris sold his house in Danville. He and Slice could've spent a week driving to Antioch to woo him further east than UK. ;)

Good buddy of mine plays rec basketball with his brother. I can try to have him put in a good word for us. :lol:

Marcus is supposed to be joining them over the summer for games, but I assume he would have already made his decision by then.

There is absolutely no way this goes anywhere. . .

Arizona commit Anthony Furgeson is expected to play overseas next year instead of for Arizona.

Hearing Kansas big man Cheick Diallo has worked his way into the 15-20 range. All NBA people say the same thing: MOTOR, MOTOR, MOTOR.

I for one did not see this coming. Good for him!

I don't understand this...isn't most everyone under 6'9 in in the nba super athlethic? So he's just going to hustle his way into making baskets? Isn't it more complicated than that? Ok.... I guess. If they said he had a massively improved jump shot and ball handling skills, I'd understand then being a buyer... but moving up so much based on motor? I didn't see this coming either. He'll be super interesting to keep tabs on the next few years. Good for him.

Picked splinters out of his butt on the bench for a whole season at Kansas
Two months later, he's a first round NBA pick?
Something's out of whack here ..... smh

In the draft camp games on TV a month or so ago, the announcers couldn't stop raving about him. I'm still not sure I'd draft him -- Tyler Hansbrough had a nonstop motor in college too -- but that's why I'm not getting paid the big bucks by an NBA team.

I don't get why a midpack team would draft him. A top team adding bench energy, definitely. A team that needs to catch those teams, can't see it being a good pick.

Nor did I. I actually saw that he was in that range somewhere yesterday and thought it was a misprint.
