College BBall Imperialism Map

Thank you Jack. This continues to be one of the best threads ever.
Hopefully it will become a tradition that we will continue to follow.

I think this map is fun to check out also. It’s like a game of Risk. You beat a team and you capture their territory.
what am I missing ? this map has 1000 teams on it
Each time you win you get the land of the team you beat as well as the land of each team they have previously beaten. That's why there are repeat teams. I remember seeing this last year in the tournament and it was a lot easier to follow with a smaller pool.

I like the undefeated map better which is why I only shared that one. The other imperialism map is much ado about nothing. What is anyone really gaining from looking at that thing

Just like the undefeated map when it started the other one I posted is a bit busy at the moment. I assume he keeps it going through the NCAA tournament and if so more and more teams would fall off the map when they lose their final game of the season.

Houston's basketball team should have a loss hung on them just for their football team's suffering the worst loss (biggest losing margin) in bowl history and to Army (a running non-passing team) no less 70-14!

Even the map takes our OOC schedule in consideration B)

Could at least get the whole state of NY e
Instead of Michigan getting a few zip codes in western NY

It's all based on county distance from the school. So like Ann Arbor is 312 miles from Jamestown NY. While Queens is 413 miles from Jamestown.

Yeah but we may come close in the total population numbers! ;)
