Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon on tonight's PTI both supported the idea of permanently moving the NHL season from Oct to May to Jan to Aug. This is being considered by the NHL to avoid competing with pro and college football and the NBA in Oct to Dec.
Should college basketball consider doing the same with a Jan to May or June season?p

Sitting in a hockey arena for a couple of hours during a New York summer would certainly be refreshing.

Don't see how it makes sense to have unpaid college athletes playing a regular season when the school year is over and only kids taking summer classes are around. It would have to finish up in May. Maybe the tournament could roll into June.

If you are worried about unpaid college athletes, just have a tournament with these schools: Kansas, Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, LSU, Oregon, Arizona, UConn, Syracuse, and Ohio St.

The college season will tipoff as scheduled, be fully completed and will be a great season for us johnny fans.

The biggest threat to the season was the fear mongering media but covid is now coming in 2nd in the ratings so we are good.

All of a sudden the threat of the virus is secondary to police brutality and our WOKE mayor marched with 10,000 protesters defying his own ban. He now supports a budget cut to fund the police.
Well, in that spirit of our New Leftist Revolution I propose eliminating the security at Carnesecca Arena and expensive security machines before we enter the arena. Take that money and spend it on temperature control and seat cushions. The heat can kill you! Redmen Lives Matters (RLM)!

On D-Day 2020, you are more likely to be arrested for attending a religious service than you are for attending a protest.

A bunch of out-of-touch 1950's guys who of course think that minorities and people standing up for their rights are a 'problem' and who've never been treated unfairly because of their race. Protests are a constitutional right in case you forgot. You're all probably easy to find at the games with your canes, walkers and white hoods.

And of course "ageism" has never been a problem in this country.

Thanks to you we can now identify Lou Carnesecca at the games. We will of course recognize you in your designer BLM tee shirt, Armani Jean's and penny loafers without socks.

I'm sure that you are concerned more with racial equality than any objective measure of qualifications when you do the same in depth analysis of the St. John's basketball roster or the entire population of the NBA.
As for the myth you keep trying to perpetuate:

Don't mock my canes. Otherwise, I'm with you. Lol.

1) Actually I'm white and I've been called racist slurs for having the audacity to walk through Harlem, parts of Boston, and Brooklyn. Also know a bunch of friends who have experienced this. Does that qualify for being treated unfairly or did I deserve it? Thanks look forward to response!

2) We will have a season because the COVID turned out to be mostly political we can now see unless you're elderly and/or have a major pre-existing condition.

1) There is never an excuse for anyone being treated unfairly.

2) Tell the 110,000 families in the United States that the death of their loved one was political.

Also, my political views probably are more in line with yours than you think. I just feel that Trump's Presidency has been a disaster. Think about it, before he won the Republican nomination in 2016, Graham, McConnell, Cruz, and many others declared him unfit. He destroyed Jeff Sessions for doing the right thing and recusing himself from an investigation regarding him. Sessions did the honorable thing since everyone knew that he was a supporter of Trump. Recently, respected former members of his Administration, General Mattis and General Kelly have voiced concern and dismay regarding his leadership, citing lack of maturity among other things. Neither one of these gentlemen is a left wing radical terrorist looking to overthrow the government.

I remember being in Grammar school at St Catherine of Siena, where we recited the Pledge of Allegiance every day before class. As I recall, it stated "to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands".

Nowhere in there, is the President or the Presidency mentioned. Trump is doing his best to change that, and unfortunately for us, his enablers in Congress are willing co conspirators.

Panther, I’ve always said he’s a terrible speaker and arrogant at best. Divided more after Floyd with rhetoric. Problem is, there’s no candidate on the right who speaks like Obama but is also tough on issues Trump ran on. I wish!

Corona went from supposed to kill 2 million Americans and shut down everything to only really possibly being fatal to those with underlying issues and elderly. We find out it doesn’t really spread on surfaces like we first thought, smaller contagious window, and lots of confusion. Masks don’t work now they do. Now it’s basically gone and the 2nd wave I’d bet is a lie too. Time to move on with life.

But have you ever had the police stop you because you didn’t look like you belong in a certain neighborhood like us black students were walking around Jamaica estates? I don’t think anybody should be treated unfairly but that’s not the world we are living in.

Maybe you should stop stalking Lou Carnesecca. Perhaps you should have been wearing St. John's gear since the school is in the vicinity. That's an interesting story actually and we would like to know what justification the police used other than what you portend.
