Any successful coach who wants out of the Big East is doing it for one reason only: To hitch their wagon to football because they are fearful of the future at a non-football school.

Living now down in the South, we hear everyday about the behind the scenes discussions that are presently going on between the Commissioners of the Big 10 and SEC conferences. If Tennessee and Virginia’s lawsuits against the NCAA lose, look for the beginnings of a move out of the NCAA into a Power Five separate entity which has been discussed previously. And those basketball jobs at those Power 5 schools are looking better each day to coaches.
