He SHOULD be gone. But can't help but wonder what this crisis does to colleges thinking process when they have to fire a coach and pay him a boatload.

The bigger issue is when are they going to pull the trigger on many of these potential firings, Manning, Leitao, Neubauer, Christian etc. What are they waiting for? Season has been over for more than a week? I get the Coronavirus is the everything now but that is not going away for months that shouldn't delay these moves considering other schools have made moves as well.

I missed that Goodie tweet from 3/11 about Leitao but man a contract extension? As long as it has a reasonable buyout very early the extension itself is not that bad it is the idea that you are bringing him back at all after 5 years of what? 5 losing seasons, 4 in last place?

Who would you like the Rams to interview that would be realistically interested in the job ??

How much can they pay ? Can they go significantly higher than $500K if they need to ???

Neubauer was making more than 500K, much more.

Need to find a hungry high major assistant.
 
People have complained about the amount of Pitino to Iona posts, but there would have been 10x as many posts if the story was Pitino to Fordham.

Leitao feels like the Norm of DePaul. Needs to go, but school just seems to lack the will to do it.
 
Leitao recruited a nice roster and then got very little out of them. I, too, am surprised DePaul is going further with him.

He and the AD seem at equal peril
 
I think he did a terrible job this year. I think Depaul had top 5 talent in the league. Reed is in some mocks as a first round pick this year; Weems is viewed by some as a first rounder next year; add in Moore, Lands and a bunch of capable role players.

Makes a great deal of sense. Also probably one with strong NY/NJ connections wouldn't hurt

The only thing that makes sense for Fordham these days is to go back to the MAAC or Patriot.

They've had 25 years to prove they belong in the A10 and have failed every year.

Being competative in a smaller league is better than a doormat in a sorta-major league.
