Had a feeling that somehow Coach K would be looking for win #1000 against our Redmen in MSG. The basketball gods just wouldn't have it any other way. With the blowout loss tonight by Puke, if they could squeeze by Louisville on the road and not blow it at home against Pitt, they will be going for #1000 in the World's most famous arena. Duke fans would pay anything for the tix then I assume. Would be nice to get the win and make Coach K wait longer.

Beating Louisville on road is no small feat.

No small feat but accomplished, just call me Nostradamus, lol. Some things are just meant to be, they will beat Pitt and be going for 1k against us. Get ready for ticket prices to skyrocket.

Agree, it will feel like a Duke home game.
 
This is turning into my worst nightmare for this game. I do NOT want Coach Ratface winning his 1000th game on our court. And if he is going for it next Sunday, I predict the Garden will be 80-20 Puke fans. And that will,give Ratface even more ammunition for wanting the ACC tournament in NYC.
 
One of the commentators (I think it was on ESPN), in discussing Coach K's upcoming feat, referred to the Garrden as "Cameron North." It made my blood boil.

I never ever root for Duke until yesterday. Figure they would easily knock off Pitt on Monday leaving our game Coach K's quest for victory #1000. The garden will be busting all out. BTW, my son and grandchildren went for $80 a ticket through Stub Hub. Look at it this way there will be three more Redmen fans.

This is exactly why I thought that somehow our game would be the one he needed for 1000. As a SJU, Jets, Mets, Knicks fan I guess I am trained to expect the worst. However, nightmares can turn into beautiful days when we wake up. Beating Duke in the Garden with Coach K going for 1000 and all of the Pukie fans trying to drown us out would be one of our most memorable wins ever.
The funny thing to me is ESPN promoting the Coach K run to 1000 and saying that 3 of the next 4 Duke games are on ESPN. Of course the most important game is not on ESPN, that's got to be killing them. Dickie V. must be pissed.
 
Have been thinking about trying to get tickets but honestly don't think I can stomach watching K get his 1,000th and having to deal with all the Duke fans. Maybe If I was feeling better about our team right now I'd go for it, but coming off today's loss and knowing that our margin of error will be less then zero, I'm concerned it could get really ugly. Maybe I'll wait to see what D'Lo injury status is.

Duke is a good match up. Coach K will downplay this game because he wants to win #1000 at Cameron. This will be the game we go on a roll all the way to the tournament.
