To make this even greater my alma mater is going to the Frozen Four! Was at that game so didn't get to see Cuse go down but very happy to see the result.

My only disappointment at the SU loss was that it wasn't to L'ville in the finals which would have been IN MACY'S WINDOW, WITH THE LIGHTS ON, and would have represented poetic justice for the remainder of the BE. I for one will miss Pitt and WVU who I feel played by the rules with sportsmanship and fellowship as does SU's football program. The motives of the basketball program cover ups in the last 20 or so years requires some explaning to me to be comfortable with them again.

That knockout call by Cosell is one of my favorite sports soundbites of all time. My favorite all time is probably Ali's "I shocked the world!" proclamation after defeating Sonny Liston. Oddly enough, I'm no longer a boxing fan---after seeing what it did to Ali, Smokin'Joe, Hitman Hearns and other greats.

HBO sports did a great documentary on Frazier/Ali. Frazier, after all those years still privately hated Ali, and would gloat to those around him whenever Ali appeared in public, unable to speak beyond a whisper and body afflicted with Parkinson tremors. He'd glance at the screen and boast, "See that. I did that to him."
Check listings, its a great documentary, and may be repeated again.

I wish I could go. Can't make it down Thurs since my school play the 4:30 game I believe. I might come down if they win (go to the Yanks/Rays opener Fri) and then the game Sat, but with the holidays, and prices, it might be tough. It is my spring break though. Mike is a SU fan so we should expect this. We had NCAA sanctions (something Syracuse will be dealing with soon) and bad recruiting and coaching the last 10 years. Syracuse has probably had more talent than any other program in history since the 1980s and just one title to show for it. Can you imagine the number of championships Syracuse would have if Coach K, Calhoun or Bob Knight had been coaching them instead of Jimmy B? Mike you guys have had a great run, clearly you've had the better program recently, but accept the loss and take it like a man, also enjoy the move to Hick Land, AKA the ACC.
