Well, that was awesome to watch. Balanced contributions. Blow a team out when Jenkins, Soriano and Dingle all go for less than double digits.

Two more to go. Ending the season at 19-12 with our metrics, and then the speculation can begin even before we get into the Big East tournament stuff.

I had written Glenn Taylor off because he rarely tried to get open for shots even though he was a good shooter. We weren't going to win big games with him only playing defense.

Pitino has had motivational talks with all his players but Taylor was too often lost in the offensive flow by deferring his shots. Now, opponents have to guard him more closely which opens up the offense to all the other players.
Our bench is also playing well and providing legit depth at the most critical time of the season.

Pitino is being very analytical in his evaluations and the players are finally starting to "get it".

Without naming names, one of my friends that attended the Creighton game with me and our group, pointed out the volunteer coach who is doing analytics and who sits with the coaches and players preparing for games. He sits behind the bench and is a wealthy retired finance wiz who does all the work pro Bono.

Remember, players like Taylor, Luis, Wilcher and Dunlap are young players and are taking longer to adjust to the Pitino system. Hopefully, they will be important members of the team down the stretch.
 
Love pitino and so psyched team has come around but definitely seems like revisionist history for him to now act like his scorched earth press conference was all part of master plan. Dude just lost his mind after seton hall game (I did too) and started naming names. He just lost it in the moment because he can’t stand losing and tough on his ego. Which is fine. Didn’t bother me too much.

But it’a not like he was some controlled maestro masterfully pulling strings. He just had a tantrum and blew everyone up.

Anyways….PSYCHED we are alive!

I am not sold on the idea we need to win one. I am betting that the committee hurts the B12 bubble teams for SOS, and only two BE teams with 19 wins have missed the tournament since realignment, and both had far worse NETs. Wishful thinking perhaps. Just blow out GT and DePaul and we will be in IMO.
