@Butler, Tue., Feb. 7, 8:30p, FS-1

That star is skewed bc Storr didn’t get a lot of PT early on the season. I know everyone is in love with Storr but he didn’t play well last night
Storr is the only natural scorer and best shooter on the team. However, he does force things and makes freshman mistakes. But his mistakes are no more glaring than the other players that CMA has no choice but to rely on. I hope the haphazard play of the others doesn't rub off on him.

That dog won’t hunt but Boo keeps trotting him out there

Post game quotes from Anderson - no surprises

Opening Statement…
“We always talk about being in a position to finish off games, and tonight, we didn’t finish. We were up, 66-61, and we knew they [Butler] weren’t going to go away. They fought and made some plays. I thought one of the bigger plays was when Joel [Soriano] had his shot blocked, and we looked up and [Manny] Bates was getting an and-one at the other end. That was a big play for them. We had some opportunities. I thought it was a very physical game. We attacked the basket, and we thought we would be rewarded. We only shot six free throws.”

On the offensive game plan…
“We were trying to feed Joel [Soriano], and they were doubling up on him. The spacing was there where we could get into the paint. We didn’t finish all of them, but it was a physical game. We shot six free throws.”

On the final play…
“It didn’t count. We did what we wanted to do, and it didn’t count.”
We don't go up strong. Our drives to the hoop often look out of control.. You don't get calls from the refs when you don't go up strong.

Hard to fathom this loss. Another double digit lead squandered, ad this one against a very average (being kind) team. To me the Posh behind the back pass epitomized the season and this team. Just dumb execution, poor decision making, lack of discipline and reckless play. That is mostly on the coach to allow this at this juncture, but some of the players are also top blame. Posh should know better. If Curbelo or Anderson is back next year, then it is gross negligence on part of the administration. I am not optimistic for the future as I do not see any savior, and I think that the basketball paradigm has passed the school by. It has been nearly 30 years since we've had consistent winning and the last 2 decades have been mostly bad (not even middling).

We have to have hope. Some of us are getting on in years and don’t have many more coaching regimes to go. There are really no sure fire coaches out there to meet everyone’s expectations but I really believe there is a coach out there to get the program more then respectable again and on a consistent basis.

Look at other BE teams out there like Marquette and Xavier who a few years ago were floundering as well and they made good hires. While I still question the schools ability to do anything right, the fact that they (if they) eat a large buy out contract means they want to do better as well.

So …….DON’T GIVE UP HOPE, THE RIGHT COACH WILL TURN THINGS AROUND!

Caps maybe Maher is right lol

While over the past few years, this staff has lost just about every close game where a game winning play was called for, its time to give credit where credit is due. While the last three minutes were played pretty poorly, the last play, the cross pick by Posh to free Soriano for a tip in with less then a second to go was outstanding and whoever drew it up deserves some kudos. Had that pass not been tipped, that game goes into OT.

The fact that the entire arena knew that the last play would be to Soriano and for him to have a chance to score was the result of an excellent drawn up and executed play.

couple positive posts lately... u ok? lol

Unlike with Norm, don’t think anyone is arguing for Anderson.
I also believe there will be a somewhat mutual breakup. With Norm at one point I thought he may be here forever.
I don’t think Pitino is realistic and I don’t trust the program to pick a quality replacement. So there we are.

True, but Storr not getting PT early in the season is not a better narrative. Also, as recently as last night, Curbelo took 10 shots (and missed 8 of them), while Storr took 6 shots.

My point is this is a microcosm of the more broad non-sensical operation.

Pitino should be option A, B and C... if that doesn't work out then give me one of the the up and coming mid-major guys: Speedy, Robert Jones or Matt Langel. I'd probably prioritize Speedy out of those three.

Donovan and Cal are pipe dreams, we are a step down for Boynton, and I have no interest in mid-career retreads (Turgeon, Alford, Mack etc.)

Speedy can finally make the team along with the rest of the AAU squad from the Artest Years

My doctor at the VA told me not to buy green bananas. It's getting late.
