@Butler, Tue., Feb. 7, 8:30p, FS-1

Sorry for confusion by my point was what you were watching is the same for any teams outside the top 15-20

It’s really an eye sore not reserved for just SJU.
Moose, no problem. I'm a total sports junkie. Because there was little to watch yesterday, I watched PBA Championship bowling and NASCAR. My wife used to say that if knitting was a sport, I would watch it! 😜

Something's got to give in this game. Butler has only gone over sixty points in conference play four times. One was against us, when they got 61, and they got a couple of hoops at the end, against our walkons. The other three times were in their wins, when they got in the upper 70s, and a couple of those games were because of late free throws (not Georgetown, who they beat by 30). We've obviously given up a ton of points lately, especially since Mathis went down.

Hey maybe Jimmy Chitwood will transfer in and be eligible immediately to save the day. He's familiar with Hinkle although he may be a bit old?

We got spirit yes we do. We got spirit how 'bout you!

When you make the second shot....and you will make the second shot.

Make it a good one strap.

I want to know the flavor of his chewing gum.

Great movie, one of my favs which really depicted and actual championship. Can you imagine, a movie with an uplifting ending. 😂👍

Does anyone think we actually have a chance to win? That matchup predictor is garbage.

Hope I'm wrong but the smart $ is going on the Butts
We are awful right now, but let's not delude ourselves to thinking that a game against Butler is completely outside of our reach. Butler has lost seven of their last eight games and has lost those seven games by an average of more than 20 points per game. They are pretty bad too. They are probably the worst Butler team since they have joined the Big East. BTW one of their seven losses was to us at Carnesecca Arena on January 10th, by 16 points. Outside of a strong game by Soriano, I don't remember us playing particularly well that night. Our victory was mostly about the level of our opponent. Will the homecourt for Butler and our recent drop off in play turn the result around. That is a definite possibility. However the line of Butler -1.5 seems about right to me. If we get blown out by double digits then it is further evidence that we are in total freefall mode.

Speaking of Mathis, has anyone seen him on the sidelines?

Would assume Jones will be out for the Butler game as well.

I might have missed it, but what was the personal reason for Jones missing the game on Saturday?
