Bucknell game

Hahaha...usually the 2-3 zone is what screws us, not helps us.

Agree!

You could tell it caught Bucknell off guard, and they looked awful against it on several possessions.

Good job, as we were very active in the 2-3. More active than I can remember.

The benefit of the zone was it stopped all the back-doors and blow bys for easy inside layups.
if Laving doesn't make that switch, we don't beat these guys tonight.

The switch to zone seemed to be the difference. Good call coach.

We still play O like we're at IS8.

There were lots of sets and extra passes being made.

The problem is we have some players whose hoops IQ isn't high.

Amazing how some of you jumped ship early second half. Please go cheer for Kentucky.

This thread would've been on fire, if we had lost.

I, actually felt confident that we'd come back and win the game. Similarly, to how I felt when Wagner was making a run last Friday.... Just never had that nervous feeling that we'd lose the game.

I'm glad we won the way we did. It frustrates me when people can't handle the fact that we have flaws.

we are going to need different players to supplement Harrison on offense most games this year.
Tonight it was Greene catching fire.
In the long run it will be best if we can win games without depending on Rysheed to carry an offensive load.
It will be tough enough adjusting to the speed of the college game at the point guard spot. If he's playing
well by conference time we will be in good shape.

Bucknell is a well scheduled game heading into the new Big East, very similar to Butler. Good early season win in that the staff gets to remind the team they're not great but stay in win column. For all of the talk about Coach's faults, we adjusted well in the second half. D'Lo's 'less is more' performance was critical to win. Loved Dick and Bill bringing the old school talk back, even if they sounded like they had as much bourbon during the game as I did
