Maybe he would improve in time. But, at present, you can’t even call him a streaky shooter
The previous season when we had yakwe and amar in at the same time, we lost a ton offensively. This year Trimble and any other sub on the floor at the same time and we were challenged offensively
. It’s tough to discredit Trimble in my opinion . Sure , he gets only limited minutes and is in there for somebody usually in foul trouble. I.e . Clark mainly . He’s at a height and quickness disadvantage as soon as he takes his warm up jacket off . But , he did show , as Rafftery says , Onions on more than 1 occasion .,On offense this year , he didn’t see the ball much as last year and didn’t hit as many 3’s . He does require getting the Ball in perfect position and getting into a set position to shoot . He didn’t score as much this year either . To his credit , he puts out 100 percent whenever he is in there . Not playing much , he is tentative with passing the ball and had more than a few turnovers . But , in the right situation , game by game , he can get hot and hit a few . I hope he stays . On a added note, I think we could have used Mikey Dixon , in more than a few games . He could shoot reasonably well and despite whatever defensive faults he had , could have helped us . Have no idea what caused a rather sudden decision to transfer out . It did hurt us depth wise .
Not discrediting him in the least but I'm also not crediting him. By all accounts a great kid who was thrust into the role of guarding bigger forwards. It is true though that he provided very little on offense for a team that really needed a scorer off the bench. Agree - Mikey Dixon's departure hurt, and I think he feared losing minutes to both Keita and Williams.

I hear ya. I’ve had an iPhone/iPod since I was a kid but I still struggle to type on it sometimes. I think back to when the blackberry phones were big, and can’t imagine how people typed on them with how small the keyboard was

But then Cousy wanted to transfer to St. John's and coach Lapchick wrote him a letter urging him to stay at Holy Cross which he did. True story and totally selfless act by coach Lapchick.

I did like the player, but I am always surprised to read how many fans feel that Mikey Dixon's departure was a big blow. I did not feel we were in need of another guard. Mikey is also not a physically strong guard and was a liability on our defensive switches.

It was a big blow in so much as he was the only offensive game off the bench. When we had two or more bench players on the floor it the opposing teams were playing 5 on 3 and it made defending us a breeze. Dixon shot well enough and was a capable enough finisher to keep defenders honest. I think he will really do well under THUNDER DAN!

Bringing Dixon here was a terrible move. Period.

I can't believe you just wrote that losing Mussini really hurt. :)

Where have you gone Coach Joe Lapchick, your old school turns it's lonely eyes to you.......

with a deeper bench and the talk of ponds, heron, and simon all staying...i just don't see how trimble fits in. A liability if we have someone more talented on the bench
