Wouldn't blame him. I sit right near the court at CA and some of the things our fans shout at this kid are disgusting.

I met him at the game in Miami, really nice kid, and good representative of the school. Plays hard and it would be nice to have a kid like this on our team for 4 years.

We'll drive ourselves crazy with transfer speculation, Staff has to be able to keep who they want to keep, particularly this off season. I'm going to relax and enjoy March Madness and let whatever happens wit our team reveal itself over the next month. Not going to worry about it until it happens.

Don't know what this kid has ever done to deserve the fan abuse he gets. Definitely appears to have done what he could to max his ability which is all any reasonable fan can ask for.

Somebody had to take Amar's place. He got it just as bad his four years here.

It's pitiful the way we treat some of our guys, sometimes.

His 3 point shot was not as consistent as we would have liked but he was a very good defender and rebounder who was often asked to play out of position and was matched up with guys much bigger than he is and always gave it his best effort.

Just like Simon, he has his warts but also contributes in many ways. I hope he stays with us.

It's amazing for a fan base often criticized for being silent all game there are quite a few with screws loose

How often do you see someone on a major conference team willing to be a 4 year bench player?

He could be a serviceable sub if he improves his 3-point shooting. Defensively, I found him slow footed guarding the three but better close in.

Chudney Gray comes to mind from some excellent redmen teams - 4 year sub more valuable each year. Why do we always feel the need to speculate about why kids might leave? Lack of continuity is a major problem for our team the last few years.

It is both sad and humorous to see the grey haired “fans” who played limited organized basketball shout and post disrespectful things about Brian in one breath and then remiinice about St.John”s teams and players of the 1960s and 1970s; ra- ra- rah !

The bottom line is that Brian Trimble came to St.John’s and by all accounts worked hard and played to the best of his ability. Personally I hope Brian returns next season. If he does not return then I wish him success at where he transfers.

Understand your point but wonder if you actually were at games this year. Radical turnaround from the many years our fans sat on their hands. There was a sense of urgency in the crowd and our fans tried really hard at urging the team on . Ca actually became loud consistently.

Expect everyone around here to be in a foul mood around here. Turned out to be the season that wasn't and we haven't had many of those in terms of failed expectations.

That’s very sad and unforgivable that fans disrespect our guys like that.
Mean-spirited crap.
Detest it.

Whenever Trimble is in the game, I see him hustling and battling despite having to guard bigger players. The shots he takes are almost always within the flow of the offense. I would never blame a player who hustles and is given unfair assignments on the court.

I hope Bryan stays. We need more gritty guys like him, not fewer.

You can tell Trimble worked hard by the fact his body transformed from year one to year two. He's still got a ways to go, but you get the sense he will get there because of the effort he puts in. He probably was a little over his had as the 6th man this year. But heck, Paris Horne and Justin Burrell where over their head too when they started out and by their senior years they were both extremely productive (Horne as a starter and Burrell as a very talented 6th man).

Trimble averaged 1.3 rebounds per game in 16.2 minutes.

By all accounts Bryan seems like a very nice kid, and there's no doubt he doesn't deserve to be bashed personally or fat shamed like some fans have done, but if you think he's a Big East caliber player in any role whatsoever you are out of your mind. No offense to him, but he should be playing at a low D1 school at best. I've seen a majority of the guards on 16 seeds in this tournament that are by FAR better than him. I wish him all the best, but he doesn't belong on a Big East roster period.

I agree. I've talked about Trimble not being a BE caliber player. I don't feel that's an attack on him or his basketball talent or how hard he works. I also feel if he does stay, that it would be further down on the bench. Maybe an 8th or 9th guy. Granted, that's if we ever have a capable 1 through 7 product to put on the floor.

Burrell had by far his best year in college as a freshman, particularly the first half of the season. He looked like he was going to be a stud. He made the all freshman team.
