Weren't you the Nostradamus who said "Fland guarantees SJU is placed squarely as one of the top 2-3 teams favored to win it all."

Mamma Mia......you have them in the CHAMPIONSHIP game! If I were superstitious instead of stupendous, I would think you are giving us the MAL'OCCHIO!🤘

Objection, relevance.

Not one person — reasonable or otherwise — thinks any combination of players guarantees anything. Why even bring it up then?

The better team doesn’t always win a seven-game series let alone a one-
game elimination tournament.

All you can do is assemble the best roster on paper and hope for good luck and chemistry.

Complaining about adding Boogie would be like an irritated Logen asking “who is going to clean all those damn rooms” after winning a mansion in a raffle.

First of all show me where I even said National Championship? I’ll wait as well, My Duke reference was relative to their talent level. I said advancing in the tournament. You should re read a post before you decide to challenge it.

But since you asked, LJSA stated it as did SJU Willrock etc. . And while you technically just said “our chances will increase” you implied it. 😎👍

I think you need to re read posts, LJSA stated it as did SJU will rock etc.

Whether Boogie holds us in the same low regard as he did a year ago is another story. But there's absolutely no way we don't try. Don't think there's any way Jackson

There is something I also think: Deep down, you don't want Boogie because it will be nearly impossible for you to complain.

Not one poster here has ever said Boogie gets us a national championship. All anyone has ever said is he helps put us over the top and makes us a preseason favorite to potentially cut down the nets. Saying “our chances increase” is not the same as guaranteeing it. Your posts recently have been more absurd than usual, maybe take a day off.

I guess I’m reading different posts then you but what LJSA stared and SJU will rock has said clearly implies that but we all know what your post is all about and unfortunately has nothing to do with the topic.

What I can say is that I am more then satisfied with the talent brought in to date as I’m sure coach Pitino is as well.

What does having them as one of the two or three top teams favored to win it all have to do with anything. I could argue that they are ranked #3 at this moment. That automatically makes them one of the top three favorites.

Same thing. There are zero guarantees Fland even gets them in the tournament if you want to play that game. What if he gets hurt.

I guarantee this hamster on the wheel discussion is going nowhere.
 
I want him to come back to college so we can get more of this! Love it! Either way, the kid is going to land on his feet in the NBA or back in college making big $$$. Kudos to another NY kid who hopefully makes it big.
 
Of course no player today can guarantee you a national championship. Duke lost a close game in the Final Four, that doesn’t make their season a failure and having Cooper Flagg almost definitely helped get them that far.

Also a lot of people are saying team chemistry matters which of course it does but who can guarantee we will have better team chemistry with or without Boogie Fland. I am not expecting to win the national championship next season. If we do great. I would gladly take Fland because I think he is a good player that will get better.

Frankly, expectations should be tempered period. Sanon and Jackson had good freshman years, not great; in 52 minutes of court time per game between the two of then they combined for a little over 2 assists a game. Hopkins last full year at Providence, 22-23, he averaged a bit over 2 assists in 35 minutes a game.

You can try and ping me all you want but I realized very quickly your utter sports ignorance when you went into your “Jenkins act” years ago with me insisting Brett Baty was a sure fire future NL batting champ.
