... Either way, I don't think we need another big for this year, unless it is insurance for Bryce. Assuming Bryce is fully healthy then he'll get big time minutes at the 4 alongside Zuby at the 5. Mitchell will split time at the 3 and 4 to give Bryce a break and Prey will split between the 4 and 5 to give Zuby a break and possibly create different looks.

"insurance for Bryce" is key.... and Mitchell is a hell of an insurance policy. Dillon is gonna garner 20+ mins regardless... but should something happen to Bryce- i think we are "OK"...

Now... if something happens to Zuby... then its gonna get tough. I don't think we are in a "GTown/Sorber" situation given the Talent on the roster, but Prey as a full-time 5... we will have issues.

Tough to convince a "Capable" Center to come in and be an understudy. What would be perfect addition, would be a Zuby-esque sophmore transfer.... but even that kid would have Prey in front of him.

Tamba initially committed to Tennessee & redshirted, and then played two years at Weber State. If the court ruling about the Rutgers football guy happens (shaving off a year of eligibility played in juco/naia/d2), he can have two years of eligibility.

Big eye raising thing to me was 77% from FT on 90+ attempts.

I don't understand the thinking here.

Hopkins and Mitchell are filling the 4 spot. They may both be on the floor at times with Mitchell as a small ball 5 or as a 3 in a big lineup with Zuby.

Zuby is getting 30 minutes a game. Prey is getting the other 10 plus maybe a few at the 4. I don't understand why folks don't think he's a 5. Pitino chose not to play him there last year but he's certainly capable of playing the position at the college level.

Any other 5 that gets added is a "break glass in case of emergency" player. They cannot count on more than 5 minutes a game - maybe.

This isn't an All Star team where someone good is going to say "oh yeah, sign me up for that.". A guy Vince's level (and I liked Vince) didn't want to be here for that.

Think smaller, not bigger I think.

Prey did not play center overseas before arriving here, did he? I think he has always been a forward.

Yes after Ledlum was released from Tennessee and transferred to SJU they flipped someone to walk on (I believe the rumor was Brady Dunlap).

If the House settlement ever gets approved they should move to 15 scholarships.

He played center for Portugal national teams and looked really good. He struggled sharing the space with Zuby, which tells me he’s used to being the 5.

Funny thing I rode an elevator with this guy after a Tennessee football game with my family. He was with his "family" who he lived with his first year at Tennessee. He was tall and skinny back then!
