Big East 2025 Regular Season and Conference Tournament Champions - St. John's Red Storm

They asked Rick specifically about Vince in the press conference and he said, "Vince is a project".

I could not get a read on if he said it in a positive or negative way.
The reporter set Rick up with a lobbed softball question to say something positive about Vince and his very strong reserve minutes of late.

Instead he dissed him.

I think CRP overall is frustrated with Vince's progress but might have been his way to motivate him, but the tide did change when he made his bucket.

There was an instance where Ayo passed Vince the ball and Vince failed to get the pass and it lead to a turn-over, Ayo then went to talk to Vince about missing the pass but Vince body language was more or less "that wasn't my fault".

What a memorable year, first the gathering around Louie's passing and then, this incredible season. Would have liked to have heard, on TV, a "We Are Saint John's" chant.
I tried it yelled it 2 or 3 times, a middle age man turned around and gave a smirk, everyone else continued with "lets go Johnnies"

I was like screw it, and kept quiet.

What a night, what a tournament. I don't think it really hit me until I got off the LIRR last night and then this morning...walking to my car from the train last night I got very emotional and then this morning driving to the deli to get the papers and coffee, I almost starting balling my eyes out in the car. Walking out of MSG last night I took one last long look at the ceiling that had the St. John's is Big East Tournament Champions graphic flashing as you left. I stood outside the MSG marquee and took pictures of the championship signs...

When the final buzzer sounded I just covered my face and mouth in disbelief and trying to hold it together. I closed my laptop with about 2:30 left in the game to soak it all in. I'm 36...I was a student during the Norm Roberts days and covered the team back then throughout...that being said I've seen like 3 halfway decent teams since 2006 and man does this season feel surreal. I never thought I'd see a conference championship. I never thought I'd see a Saturday night Big East Tournament game. I never thought I'd see confetti once in a season let alone twice in the span of a week. I never thought I'd see a player score 33 pts in a BET game. I never thought I'd see nets cut down. I never thought I'd be on the floor capturing it all picking up red white and blue confetti off the floor.

I've said it on the podcast, I said it at the bars this is for all of us. Cherish it, hold on to it, don't take it for granted.

30-4 before Selection Sunday?!

While losing sucks more than anything, a season like this becomes so much sweeter because of all we have endured. And we really have endured. To all the die hards I hope you caught some confetti. I hope you are making travel plans for Thursday. I hope you were able to share Saturday night with someone special be it a spouse, child, grandchild, or best friend. This season has been so special because of sharing it with fellow fans who all relate to the pain but most of all the joy every win has brought.

Hope everyone enjoys Selection Sunday...lets keep this season going for 6 more wins!

Thank you everyone for the support this year.

One of the best things about this season as it gained steam and culiminated in last night is not only sharing this with people I regularly keep in touch with from my years as a student but also reconnecting with others from those years and talking to them about this season and catching up with them.

With all the chalk going heavy for Florida. , I couldn’t resist thinking what Clayton jr is worrying about right now .

It might go something like this “ Oh S —t , we are in the same bracket as St John’s and Coach Pitino . He knows every facet of my game , strengths and weaknesses and I know he will have something tricky up his sleeve , if we meet.”
