I don't want to say this versus Bethune-Cookman, but the Big East better not sleep on us.
 
Passing, perimeter shooting, very little turnovers, not exactly our recent tradition
 
LoVett is a star. So impressed.

Mussini may end up being the best 3 pt shooter in the conference playing off of these other guards.

Ellison is very much improved on offense. Moving without the ball and finishing his layups.

Very happy.
 
Ok just to stop the orgy of great things for a second, there are 3 things that did not go well.
1. Unless he kills someone Lovett should never come off the bench again.
2. Would have like to see them try to get Sima and Yakwe the ball down low to see if they can get them some easy baskets in half court sets.
3. Only one game but RF looks a bit slow and unathletic even against BC.
 
I'm so happy this game I might not even freak out if Mulln parks his ass on the scorers table. That says a lot about my mood right now :)
 
We look very good for a first game. Lots of depth, size and athleticism. We also played a ton of guys. Great first outing in a real game and we are only getting started.

To make the night even better, Uconn lost their home opener to Wagner at home by 9.
 
Pretty sure Lovett was #1 in the country going into his SO year in HS according to Rivals or Scout. Think he got lost in the shuffle switching schools. The kid is a game changer.
