I wouldn't be surprised if Villanova beats Marquette comfortably tomorrow. That's baseball Suzyn
Hey with Kolek out anything is possible.I wouldn't be surprised if Villanova beats Marquette comfortably tomorrow. That's baseball Suzyn
I’d say hystericalDePaul and Georgetown were a combined 0-38 against the rest of the Big East. Historical.
PFwiw here is Wadel’s answer to my similar question
regarding Nova. To me it’s a slippery slope, both those teams are right behind us currently.
Even with the Moore 3 pointer , DePaul still had 8.8 seconds left . I thought they still had a TO? Why not use it ?How is Neptune not under da sea?
I’ll play devils advocate.P

Also too, I believe Brando said that DePaul had a foul to give on that last Nova possession . They didn’t use it either ?
Both those decisions are why Brady isn’t getting the job . Even if there are no other takers .
The last possession by Terry was doomed . He drove the length of the Court and instead of driving to the hoop , made a turnover destined panic pass to one of the other DePaul players who was surprised as hell that Terry wasn’t going to shoot .
Dumb , dumb , dumb .
Of course . Dissecting DePaul’s last 2 plays are the stuff that can be debated either way .I’ll play devils advocate.
If you only have one foul to give, using it there could end up biting you in the ass if your team happens to mistakenly foul again after that and send them to the line. Having the one to give, provides a buffer. If you had 2 fouls to give then giving one and forcing them to reset and get the ball back in would be the no brainer.
On the last shot by DePaul. Yes the result sucked, but many great coaches do the exact same thing in that moment not calling a timeout which allows the defense to set up. Easy to say it was a mistake now but can’t fault him.
And Brady was never getting this job. He got paid better to take a no win situation.
Neptune? More like Uranus. How is Neptune not under da sea?
Terry was having a big second half and carter was 1-6 for the game.Of course . Dissecting DePaul’s last 2 plays are the stuff that can be debated either way .
It’s all what if speculation but , gets a good discussion going .
They could have fouled Moore as soon as he got the ball . The Clock was down to like 9 or 10 seconds when he shot .
If they had fouled then , it’s now Nova in panic mode , knowing they had to shoot quickly after getting the ball inbounds .
I don’t recall if Nova had a TO but , seemingly didn’t or , that Neptune had already called Moore’s number before .
DePaul’s defense on that last shot was atrocious . Their defender wasn’t within 2 feet of him . He had a clear view and still time for a rebound .
Brady ? He did Coach like he knew he wasn’t getting the job . Showed little emotion all game . Nothing there to inspire the team with a chance to win . I only caught half of the 2nd half , Where was Chico Carter for much of it ?
And , why wasn’t the ball in his hands for a last shot instead of Terry ?
Carter was making 3’s against us that were from Gary , Indiana .
Oh well , DePaul snatched defeat from jaws of victory .
Now , who is their next Coach ? If Moser , the deal is probably already done .
Agree on a lot of your points but in the end I felt sorry for the kids from DePaul. They went all out in the game and probably deserved the win over the Pilly Lox who beat them by 34 and 35 during the regular seson.I’ll play devils advocate.
