Absolute BS you play 8-9 game at 7PM and then are back at it noon the next day. Make those 1st day games during the day, it’s not like the masses are clamoring to watch the bottom 4 teams of the conference.

Anyway, it’d be a good problem to have. Hoping for a nice run of 2 wins next week!
That is your punishment for finishing in the bottom 4

Good point

No one on our team logged many minutes this season. When I last looked Dunn was ranked about 30th in the big east in minutes played - that was it.

Also, SHU beat Nova in 2914 in the Noon game, so it can be dunn.

Of course, let's first see this team win two in a row. It has not happened since December.
Anderson's 40 mins of hell didn't work at all against Georgetown the first time they played. It wasn't much more effective the second time.

IIRC Georgetown never let themselves get rushed and they took care of the ball. They didn't fumble or allow many steals.

Anderson and his staff will need to find something that works against Georgetown. Mike is an experienced coach and I think he'll make some adjustments to his defense.

The Johnnies are shooting better and that will make a big difference. The Johnnies can win if Greg Williams and Champagnie make some 3's.
Better be in Blair's face to prevent his three point shooting. Hopefully Fiqueroa has a better game against the Hoyas and his friend Pickett, will make up for Heron's 16 points.

Ewing had Mosley and the Hoyas ready for our press. Expect to see us fall back on defense. Won't hurt either if he would occasionally surprise with a quick press.

Yurtseven is a hand full down low, one of the better pivot shooters. Hopefully Earlington can front him, will be a hard guard for Champagnie.

As much as I like the effort and energy of this team, your last comment is why I find it difficult to believe this team can get on any sort of winning streak. Sense Wednesday will be more of the same, but hoping I am wrong.

playing in the early evening game means you play the early day game the next day. Would you rather have them make the later evening team play the next day at noon?

who's going to the Georgetown game, SHOW OF HANDS?

We beat Ewing (even though I think he is a pretty good coach and I hate to say that as a SJU fan and as a Not a Ewing Fan.)

Going...SJ wins

We need a healthy Dunn in this one. Hopefully he’s on the mend.

Agree--he was our most consistent player vs.the Hoyas this year. Also need to see Nick step up as he has been a non factor vs. them year. Biggest challenge is Yurt--he is the difference with a double double in both games.

At the half of the ladies game, Lavin picked each game of the mens bracket
He picked us to beat Georgetown but lose to Creighton in a close game
He picked Villanova and Providence to make it to the final
Lavin took Providence in an upset to win the tournament

If only we had a big man to foul him hard a few times

Steere should be able to do that.

This is a team we should have swept. They were in disarray when we played them away early in the season, after key dismissals/transfers, and instead they walloped us. Then there were the horrendous collapse a few weeks ago when they were down their best player. Three times a charm, we win this week.

We should run them into the ground. Run, run, run. Press, press, press.
They have a very short bench.

Is our bench much deeper?

Yes. Last game they had 4 starters play 40 minutes, one 30 minutes, one bench player 10 minutes.

We have 7 players. I'm not counting Sears because he's adding nothing. Same with Steere. Same with Cole.

Our bench is 2 players and 1 of the 7 has been under the weather.

If Gtown adds 1 or 2 of their big guns back in time for Wednesday its a wash if not swinging in their favor. Again I don't know anything about the status of their two big guns
