WOW,shut my mouth I apologize will not ever doubt this group congrats to all keep it up
No need to apologize. I was criticizing earlington at halftime about where his offensive game has gone the last few games. The team was pretty bad for 33 minutes tonight.

We are emotional as fans . The highs are highs and the lows are lows.
We saw a couple of games tonight. One horrendous one awesome.
We’ve had five of these this year, great to finally be on the winning end.

CMA teams do NOT give up. We may not have the talent yet but we have the heart. Marcellus going from looking no better than a walk on to being a major contributor has been the shock of the year. Unreal. First half made it look like we'd be blown out but then G'Town finally tired out. Thought we were toast I won't lie...a Mullin team loses this game by 30 and the season ends. One of the signs of a good coach is the ability to win even when your guys are clearly not clicking. Find a way....and we did. On to Creighton! 17+ wins...never thought that would happen this year.

We can talk about the duke scoring 17 of his 19 points in the second half, but how about the masterpiece he put on the other end of the court. He outmuscled that monster in the middle on every possesion, was a vacuum clearer on the boards and got numerous 50/50 balls on sheer effort.

Earlington dominated in every phase of the game in the second half. A masterful performance.
Pretty impressive for a player that, according to many posters and our last coaching staff, was not good enough for the Big East. I would ask everyone who didn't believe in Marcus to post and say so. It's easier to just ask who believed in him. I never saw this coming. Early in the season, when he was contributing as an offensive rebounder, I wondered if he would turn back into a pumpkin. Instead, his game got better as the season progressed. It is a testament to his work ethic, and a reason why I liked CMA from day one. Reward hard work.
OK I confess...and also to stealing a pencil in first grade and someone's milk in second.

I didn't know what to expect after seeing his limited role last year... Have to admit, I thought he'd smash the backboard with some of his shots last year. Honestly, looks like a completely different player. It's nice for the first time in forever that we have a deep coaching staff that know what they are doing. These kids have grown leaps and bounds. Proud of them and happy for Coach Anderson and his coaching crew.

Come on buzzkill. We can dream for another 12 hours.

Where is the Earlington hater, Eric W.? Not a big enough man o eat crow and give some kudos to Marcellus. This young man always plays hard and leaves everything on the floor. He deserves more than unwarranted knocks. He is still learning the game an will only get better.

Yes it will. You have to take baby steps before you can walk. Right now this team is like a run away train. GO REDMEN

I was one of the Marcellus doubters....eating crow and glad to do so. Never seen a player go from irrelevant to a stud overnight like that. This has been such a weird season starting red hot with early mentions in the NCAA bracket to starting off terribly in Big East play and now ending strong. I believe I was hoping for at least 15 wins this year. We are at 17 and maybe more.

Who is the eric w you speak of and why would anyone care to know where he is when we are in the midst of celebrating an all time victory.

Enjoy the win but this might have been the last game of the year.

Goebbert and Mudiay of the Jazz have Coronavirus (still testing). I am now skeptical if they play tomorrow as NBA has Suspended the season.

What a great comeback lead by Earlington. I didn't expect such a performance after watching the first half.
I hope the Johnnies still have some gas in the tank for Creighton.
Mike Anderson and his staff deserve a lot of credit for turning things around after several tough losses.

I have zero idea how we won that, but it matters not. Earlington killed it but truth is every game we have a different guy killing it. When we get it all together we can be really good. We move on and it’s amazing. We are gonna crush Creighton tomorrow. Let’s get it!

That was awesome. I don’t know if anyone else sees it but screw the points, Greg Williams played a great freaking game! He makes winning play after winning play. Marcellus The Motor literally ran through gtown. His future is so bright. The core is there. Come on back figgy!

Which brings me to my last point, the criticism of LJ in that game thread and in general is unreal. What expectations do you have for him? It can’t be higher than mine and I can at least be reasonable with his struggles. But tonight he was absolutely huge. When we were just about to lose momentum with 8 minutes left and gtown pushed their lead back to 11 it was LJ who hit the 3 to put the air back in the building. When we finally got it tied up at 62 it was LJ who pulled off the big steal on the double team which got us our lead. And when we were trying to put the game away with a minute left it was LJ who hit a 3 late in the shot clock to take the lead from 5 to 8 and essentially end gtowns season. It’s fans like this that make it easy to believe some posters were actually happy Ponds didn’t come back. We could have a special season if LJ comes back for his senior season and if you think he’s easily replaceable, or worse, we’d be better off without him, then you don’t know basketball.

Let’s beat creighton

I was wondering if Chris wanted to say that Figgy and Earlington were kids he brought into the Program . But , he didn’t and classy move by him for not doing so . But , I am sure he was very happy for those 2 kids . And , proud . I was wondering though , how did Mullin get this Fox gig ? We haven’t seen him on air all season .
