Stanley only played 3 minutes?
Hoping it was because of game flow and not because of being punished for vaguely hinting at something on twitter.

When I was in middle school, there was a kid in the class that was a die hard DePaul fan. After one of those Mark Aguirre teams choked in the tourney, the next day another kid walked over to him and started screaming. “It’s back to DePark for DePaul”.
Random memory…seems appropriate tonight!

24 points off turnovers, 0 for DePaul. SJU with only 2 turnovers all game. After the first few minutes SJU played as well as they have all around all year.

The guys played with a ton of energy and effort. Even showed more physicality than usual, with champ and Wheeler ripping down some man sized rebounds. More of this tomorrow and maybe they keep it close. That puts the pressure on Nova. So you never know.

Such an unusual feeling. A victory in a Big East Tournament game. I can hardly remember what it feels like.

Whatever, tomorrow brings I just hope we get the same effort of play we got tonight. Win or lose let’s make them work for every basket.

Stanley came off limping and did not get back in after that. I hope he was not actually injured and it was just Coach rewarding Nyiwe for his play. He was absolutely outstanding defensively, fought for rebounds, and the points were just the icing on the cake.

If we bring the same defensive energy that we brought for the last 35 minutes of the game tomorrow, and if Champ can stay hot, we may give Nova a run for their money.

I wonder if Coburn gets another start, though.  It's really a roll of the dice between him, Smith and Mathis who will produce best on any given night.  We may need Mathis for defense tomorrow, though. Nova is very physical on offense and Mathis is obviously the better defender

I certainly hope our “Energizer Bunny” is ok to play tomorrow. He’s had a rough time on his body, yet keeps on keepen’ on!

Great effort by the kids tonight!! We’ll need this and more tomorrow. I hope the refs let us play.

Great team win.  We came out looking sluggish, but after that first stoppage we morphed into the team that played Seton Hall in Walsh gym.

One point I will make......although he's not a perfect player, I do think Steph Smith should have played more this year. He has a knack for sparking offense and probably could have helped us out of some of those scoring droughts.

Nwiye and Wusu were excellent last game as well.  This is now a trend and expected moving forward!!!!!!!!

I would add Smith to that list as well.  He has played very well on both sides of the ball for a few games in a row now.

There is 0 chance posh is missing tomorrows game.

Wow after the timeout that was of the best games in a long long time

Champ.  Posh and Nyiwe
wusu,s passing was amazing

lets go St. John’s

still at the garden. Great game. need guys to keep their mojo up for tomorrow. once we kept JFL in check, depaul had aimless offense. still need to keep perspective,. Depaul is not good. we are good at beating not good teams. time to beat good teams. and at full strength.
