We knew that Hall would play this game to their tempo after the last game in Queens. The Redmen POY did not play like a POY. I won’t say this loss is on Champ but we win this game if he hits any 2 or 3 of those clunkers. Tonight we saw why Mamu won the award and Julian didn’t. Didn't shoot well but still contributed.

Couldn’t buy a bucket towards the end. Took a couple of bad shots. Pretty disappointing to lose today. Hate SH, I actually hope Georgetown pounds them.

All-in-all, good regular season. Hopefully the powers that be see to it that we’re in the NIT.

Just wansn't meant to be.  Its not like they played badly.  The ball didn't drop.  It happens.

It was a great year for the team and for Champagnie.  He missed some makable shots today.  If he hits them, we likely win this game notwithstanding Moore's absence.  Let's focus on keeping the nucleus together and adding a big man next year.  I'm crushed right now, but optimistic.

Can't fault the effort but they outblocked us 10-1 and out-rebounded us by 9.  Size matters!

Enjoyable season, good core of kids and a coach who will continue to make us better.

Well, many of us doubted beating SHU two games in a row.

But overall, a good season. Bodes well for our future. I hope we do go to the NIT. Would be great for our guys to get the experience of playing in the post season.

After that dunk in which Willard screamed lay it in lay it in I hope Georgetown kicks their ass tomorrow.

Still a successful season, but what a gut wrenching loss. The game was easily ours to win. So many open shots simply missed. I won't blame Champagnie either, but if he just plays to his normal level, we win easily, and that's what hurts.

Starting to think we may never make it back to the semifinals of the Big East tournament. It's been 20+ years.

Champ played well in the first half.  He was absent throughout the second.  Greg Williams had a poor game overall.  IMO, that did us in.

Brandon Tierney stated on the radio feed (paraphrased), "This was a disappointing loss due to circumstances (ie, DJ Kennedy, Moore's Covid testing) seeming to pop up on us."  He also stated, "It's also a disappointing loss because we didn't lose playing our game. We allowed Seton Hall to play their game and they eventually beat us."

I have no interest in watching the remainder of the Big East Tournament.  If Georgetown somehow wins this thing and punch an automatic bid, then I'll vomit.

Frankly, I really don't care for any teams in the conference outside of the "newbies" in Xavier, Creighton, and Butler.  I can root for Marquette as well.  But I can't root for the other teams.  I don't like Seton Hall and Providence, and definitely has a strong disliking to Georgetown.

The hell with this tournament!

We will be there next year. Old school Big East semifinal. Nova, G'town, Yukon and St. John's. Can't wait!!!

Tough loss.  Didn't play well today.  Not having Moore really hurt. We really need frontcourt help. Time to move on.

And on to next year.
Good season: Finished above 500. in B.E. play, finished in 4th place, returning players improved, the freshmen and juco's will be fun to watch for years to come. I know about Pinzon, but looking for that other kid to battle the bigs in the trenches.

So if no one leaves besides Toro, and Dunn, I'd say we'll improve next year. Would be no reason for a slow start, hopefully Roberts adds muscle, gotta think Moore will improve, and see what we get from the TT transfer big.

I'm expecting a big year next year.

I'd be very surprised if we made the NIT, but would be a nice experience for the kids.

We were up 40-38, and then made 4 stops in a row. The only problem,as often, was SH had 3 guys hitting the boards, with all of them being much taller and more athletic than anyone we had under the basket.  8-0 run. We battled back, and seemed gassed by the overtime.

It is a shame to lose like this as hard as we played. Champ had his worst shooting game of the season. It happens. Maybe banging with players that were 6'11 and 7'2 wore him down a bit. But the game could have been won if we rebounded the ball. If there is no mystery recruit that is 6'9 or above and a monster rebounder, then the coaching staff, all of whom I am highly impressed with, will have done a disservice to the players.

Marquette becomes tolerable once Wojo is gone.  Otherwise I think Puke and start screaming at the TV.  Does Theo John get social security?
