BET- Georgetown, Wed. Mar. 8, 7pm, FS1/970AM

St. John's vs Georgetown and Xavier vs DePaul should make for a small crowd.

The way these two teams are playing right now, it's hard to pick either one of them to win this game.

Mullin has to take advantage of the Hoyas poor ball handling. Got to run, especially since G'town is slow. Unfortunately they have height. Hopefully Thompson doesn't have his biggies hang down low as Cooley did. Because of our inconsistencies our victory against them doesn't mean anything on Wednesday .Our guys can't be over confident.

Would love to see Lovett get more shots against Georgetown. He only took five against Providence.

A loss to Georgetown would be a real downer to end the season. They are in bad shape themselves with the JTIII vultures swirling. Of course, even if we win we would have a Nova beat down waiting for us. I don't like the minimal effort loss to Providence (at home!) heading into the Tournament. Hard to be optimistic but I feel like we have been "rebuilding" for 20 years. A win vs Gtown and a decent showing against Nova might be reason for some optimism heading into next season. I can always hope...

Man, I cannot remember the last time I felt good going into a BET tournament game.

I do know the last time I had hope, and it ended with DJ Kennedy crumpled on the ground grabbing his knee.

Life as an SJU fan this time of year just sucks.

I'll be there too.....believe it or not, my tickets are in the world-renowned section 114!!
Now I just gotta get my 114 friends to come down from their seats in the 200s that they got for the BET. It's like being in an entirely different arena in a different section. Just doesn't feel right

I'll be there as well in 116 with a couple friends and it ends up a buddy of mine is also sitting in 114 with Maher and Redstormrising. Must be the place to be seen.

it's kind of like the Rao's of hoops :)

I am there. I actually think it might be an okay crowd. People appreciate the tournament.

I am betting that the 100's will be a bit emptier than later in the week since those sections are the ones usually set aside for the individual schools and I don't see the folks from Omaha and Milwaukee hurrying to New York to see the Wed night double header so unless they sold their tix on the secondary market they are going to go unused. For example my tickets in 116 were sent from Indianapolis. I don't imagine too many Butler fans are using their tickets to fill the seats around me.
