This team doesn't deserve an NCAA Bid and Lavin should be fired off this game! All the bulllshit you read in the paper, all the quotes from these Seniors about how angry they were about being left off the ALL BIG EAST TEAMS and stuff. Then they come out and shit the bed like this???? I wouldn't be surprised if we are in a play in game or don't even get a bid.

Not happening. You're telling me we go from an 8 or 9 seed and drop all the way to a Last 4 In because we lost back to back games to teams ranked #4 and #23 in the RPI. Everyone needs to calm down.

I admit they were bad performances. Now you admit that you're only angry about this game and not looking at the big picture
 
Just nothing from Greene, Harrison, Pointer in a big game. What can you say? I would hope that excuses be minimal for this awful loss. They just haven't done it. Not once in 4 years have they won a game of any importance..

Another blow out embarrassing performance. After today, I'm glad to see this group go and hopefully the Lavin wood too. 2 blow outs in a row.

Before I log off I just want to say this.

This loss doesn't knock us out of the tournament or put us in the play in games. Lunardi has us as a 7 seed right now, that's after the nova loss. A loss to a top 30 RPI providence team isn't going to knock us down FOUR seeds into a play in situation. Wake up guys. That is so absurd,

Also, when it comes to the "fire Lavin" and "can't wait for seniors to go" quotes, come on! This game and last game aside this has been a season to remember. Don't give up because of this bad performance.

We are definitely backing into the tournament. But I think getting some out of conference opponents who haven't gotten used to our style will bode well and we could do some damage. So everyone chill. Until tomorrow guys
 
With all the negative post on this thread, does anyone notice not one negative post from the guy who is: Joe3, RealFan, and Miguel all rolled into one?

Can't put a positive spin on this.. Really nothing to say but poor play and better play from Providence. School/Team has not been able to play big when the chips are high.. And with a senior laden team it is all on them.. Really not much hope of doing anything in the tournament even if we make it so what's the big deal actually when you know you have no shot at winning. Very disappointing performance.. Losing a tough fought battle is one thing but getting blown out is another.
 
2 things i know... 1.even if we lose, we will be in the tourney. 2. Anyone that has "joe" in their screen name is most likely an asshole

This is the game thread there are ncaa T threads. Just deflecting talk about this horror show by hijacking the tread. Post season is what counts and our history and recent history is abysmal.

Sometimes it's as simple as missing shots. A disappointing afternoon, thankfully they've earned tournament appearance. Didn't like Providence matchup and definitely think there was a hangover from Villanova 2nd half.
Still excited for 2nd half.
Jordan not starting, while not determinative for the outcome, is utterly baffling and impacted the first 10 minutes, where the game was essentially lost.
