Woooooow. Still nervous as hell. So happy to have this feeling back. We are in baby! Let’s beat the crybaby tomorrow.
Observations:
This cannot be stressed enough. Halftime adjustment. They’re killing the 3-point shot…we go to a high 2-3 hybrid and 1-3-1. This really screwed them up. We played some great defense, but that switch won us the game. Coaching? What’s that?
Alleyne. My buddy’s son. Wow. The step back 3 when they cut the lead to 7 was the shot of the game. Then, the defense on the steal and runaway lay-up was just as big a minute later. Game of the year for him.
Luis and Dingle. Both magnificent. Luis gets out of control, we all know that, but they were our two best scorers. Dingle huge from 3. Luis big with the drives and free throw shooting, especially. What a game for both.
Ledlum. Wow was I wrong about this guy early in the season. A glue guy if there ever was one. Great defense, immense blocks. Gets a little carried away at times but…he doesn’t take anyone’s crap. Love it.
Last but not least, Soriano. Stepped up today. Still doesn’t seem like himself, fully, but was calling for the ball, making shots, boxing out. Best game in awhile.
The whole team should take a big bow. I loved Taylor’s rebound and putback early 2nd half. Jenkins doing Jenkins things. Haven’t felt this way about this team in awhile. I think we give UConn a serious game tomorrow. I think we can definitely beat these guys if we play like we have and, oh yeah, keep making free throws! We’re a team no one is gonna want to face next week and we can watch selection show a little easier. Let’s go.

Really helps never playing with Wilcher, Dunlap, and Traore
8-0 when he takes 10 shots or less like tonight. I liked the way he played tonight. He’s 3-4x the defender in a true zone. He’s much better offensively off the ball.

They were just talking about that and St. John’s on the MWC telecast.

I give these kids so much credit, I think just about everybody thought we were finished after the seton hall loss at UBS and they have now won 6 in a row and playing their best ball of the year.
