Was not highly recruited but whenever he played he made it seem so easy dropping 40 plus points every game.
My alma mater
I was going to say that I though you were much younger than him but he's still only 41 y.o. Surprised at that.
Gman doesn't name drop but at hte risk of our friendship ( he cant attack me from London. lol ) Wally sister was at Gman's bday a few years ago and Wally I asked one time because we have mutual friends he loves Gman and his sister. Wally sister a tall hottie btw :)
He was 2 years older than me and 1 younger than my brother. My brother was the PG on his junior year team. My baby face makes me look young :)

Wally is always very nice to me. I know some people on the board had bad experiences with him in the past.

See I would have guessed 10 years, you like 35, him like 45. Guess I'll never work as the age and weight guesser at the carnival. PS congrats on the upcoming bundle o'joy.
Nah we were close in age. Our sisters graduated together and are 9/10 years younger than us.

And thank you, we are quite excited.

Apologies to you both, it was due to my careless cutting and pasting. In any event, no harm intended.
No need to apologize and no harm. I just didn't want to leave any confusion. All is good.

Derek Brown Carey HS played at SJU 1 of carnessecas last recruits, decent career played overseas fro 10 years.

McDs AA, Gonzaga via transfer from Kansas.
How did you end up a St. John's fan? Did you go to St. John's? Grow up in New York before moving west?

Well, I went to Massapequa High where all our players were dreck. The coach who cut me at 16 said he was on a youth movement. He won two games in two seasons. No future? Bob Weinhauer went on to coach the Penn basketball team to the final four...and was general manager of the Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks.

Billy “The Kid” Donovan, St Agnes RVC, school then merged with Maria Regina and became St. Agnes in Uniondale (my alma mater) and today it’s Kellenberg Memorial HS. Donovan played for legendary hs coach, Frank Morris. Sorry for the trip down memory lane...

OK I'll play. Fred Usbeck 5'8 center. He went on to captain the debate team, I think. Nuff said. :(

St Agnes had a very good player Jimmy Hayes who graduated from high school the same year I did, 1965. He played at Boston University and then with the Nets. Very crafty left handed player.

Not when I had hopes of making the team. I had to stick with Baseball and Football. LOL
