BE Tournament

I posted an hour ago how difficult it would be this season and now I am thinking all future seasons for an Anderson coached team playing pressure defense to do well in the season ending tournaments that are played without days off.
Does anyone know how his teams fared in prior season ending tournaments?
From 2015-2018 Arkansas went to the SEC Championship twice and the SEC semifinals as well.

So in St. John’s terms we call that territory we haven’t seen since I was 2 years old
If you think a team who presses can't win the second or third leg of a stretch with no days off, then think about what a team who does not play this style and has not trained to do so handles having to do so on the same second or third leg of a stretch with no days off.

Our pressure defense should not be changed and works well, we get a lot of turn overs, what we need help in is freaking making easy baskets and converting on the turn-overs. We are a TERRIBLE shooting team, we miss lay-ups and shoot up air-balls.

Agree regarding the turnovers. We get lots of them but rarely finish them many games. Lots of missed bunnies on breakaways. I've noticed our guys don't do that pump fake hesitation to get and 1's like Nova teams are so good at. We don't really get creative, we just go right up for a layup and telegraph that to defenses. This makes us very susceptible to getting blocked or having our shots altered since they're in our face. If we made our bunnies last night and didn't get a ridiculous T call (we have to be leading college hoops in T's the last few years) that game goes right down to the wire with a real chance to win.

You forget that those teams most likely had a bye

40 minutes of hell? Been more like 5 minutes of purgatory. Token pressure on the inbound then back away once the ball is in. Kinda pointless if you ask me.

Anyone here going? I'll be there Wednesday night. Let's hope we hold onto the 9 seed so we can play the 7 PM game.

if you're in the top 6 in the Big East, you only have to win 2 games to make it to the championship. Can we stop acting like this is as treacherous as Jesus Christ going to the desert for 40 days lol
