Sanchez gives us more height and will help us big time in 2 categories we are struggling in: rebounding and offense. He is 24 and played on a national team...talk about leadership and being a veteran with experience. He has played against the best in the world let alone NCAA. Marco like everyone is saying is a skill player who is a 1 trick pony: shoot the ball. He will help free up Harrison and teams will have to pick their poison: get burned by D'Lo or get burned by Marco if not at the same time. I really hope this is confirmed soon.

If they get cleared, I'd assume they will join team for the trip. No need to squeeze them into tomorrow's game, as staff already prepping team as is for College of Charleston, but certainly for Friday and beyond. Let's just hope we are so lucky as to have them cleared in the next day or two.
I know it sounds stupid to rush them like that if they are cleared, but remember...this is a very important part of the season. We would be very lucky to even go .500 in Big East play, so this is where we need to rack the wins up. Either way, this is a travesty by the NCAA...no reason it should take this long forcing them to miss 2 games.
How does that make any sense? If there was an indication that they will be cleared, how long can it possibly take for the official announcement to come out? Especially in this scenario where time is very much of the essence because every game they miss is another game they don't gain experience or chemistry. Why would it take the entire tournament? Why is it nuts to think they can catch a flight down there asap if it's true? SC is not far at all by plane it's not like they are in California. May seem like I'm rushing things, but this is the part of the season we need to dominate if we have any shot at being a bubble team.
1. True or not, you heard the "rumor" on a message board. You didn't hear it directly from someone so take it with a grain of salt. I'm not knocking anyone here and their sources but I'm not sure why you're so quick to believe someone.
2. It's a 3-game tournament and the 2 players weren't even flown down to practice with the team. That alone should tell you they will not be playing.
3. This isn't a BCS system where we have to rack up points to earn a spot in the tourney as a bubble team. We do not need to dominate anyone. We need to figure out a rotation and gel.
Be glad Felix will be available to spell guys in the backcourt after they just played a ton of minutes in the Detroit game and flew directly down there afterwards. Especially Phil who played all 40.
Be glad that Gift made the trip "just in case" he's needed.
Be glad that Jakarr doesn't have to sit around and wait a week to get back on the court and have that first game haunt his mind.
