You said 70 plus not me. I don’t consider him bad at all. In the open practice last year he missed almost every ft and improved greatly
Let me put it this way:
If Luis, or Wilcher missed 2 there would u have thought choked?

Or to put in more positive way I only would have had confidence in Scott, Wilcher and Luis to def hit one there let alone two.

No one said he choked either when he missed the first FT of the one and one and Temple scored a last second layup to eliminate SJU in the tournament.
It just happens.
People do choke though.
Just meant he is not a good enough free throw shooter to expect him to make those. Where as a better foul shooter I would have been more disappointed.

Congrats and thanks to all of you who made the trip. Your love for Zuby from before tipoff and throughout the game was classy and superb. It is also much appreciated by Zuby and his family. They were the ones with the zuby t shirts, and they brought a huge entourage to Bahamas to root for SJU.

Yes, NIL takes precedent, but once a number is locked, moments like this will resonate with parents and could push a kid towards SJU.
Agree on NIL but will add we waited online to get in last night with Zubys family and they raved about how he feels about NY and SJU fans. That was, of course, before the chants.

Sort of kind of reminds me of Elite 8 team. Not that I am saying that is where we wind up.
Very athletic, good passing team but undersized at the forward spot, suspect shooting and free throw shooting.

Of course this team doesn’t have Ron Artest or 3 future pros but is deeper with a much better coach.

Btw the people who complain about Luis are crazy! Has his faults but is the most skilled offensive player we have had since Mo Harkless.
What is undersized at the forward spot these days? Just assuming you don’t watch the rest of the country play or the NBA

I dont think anyone is complaining about luis anymore. Last year, the criticism was warranted. He was way too inconsistant and at times, flat out terrible.

He is greatly improved this year and is probably our best player. I hope he keeps improving.
His criticism wasn’t warranted as he was hurt all year , and learning a new system . At least you can see the first round pick in him now, at least you are rooting for him now after bashing him all year last year .
