Richmond can take any role, ranging from being the alpha dog to letting others score while he contributes in other ways.

And this is what impresses me most about Richmond (yes, I know, he must be thrilled by my affirmation), he is a factor without having to score. Such a cerebral and unselfish player.

His unselfishness is even more of a stark contrast to a lot of seniors, who are trying to change their game to appease NBA scouts. Richmond, meanwhile is still taking the team first approach.
I get that and he's great, but he's going to win us close games and lose us close games when he reverts to top dog dominant role down the stretch. He makes great shots going to the tin but he also forces them and misses and he def needs to tighten up his FTs.

I have probably watched him close to 20 times but obviously not as close as when he is on my team. Don’t see him as top guy on tournament team.
Which is fine but if he is counted on as that, we may have a problem.

missed our 1 chance of an OOC Ranked win to hang out Resume Hat on.... wow that was rough...

This game is critical... Hopefully Pitino and co are able to pump these boys up after a loss like that. The St John's fan in me feels like they come out slow... if they come out Ready and pumped, I would actually be surprised.

Don't think we have to worry about UVA scoring like Baylor... pick our spots on Offense, get the win

I think the hope would be Kadary is a more steady hand while Luis is the top guy, but RJ did quite the disappearing act last night once the game got tight

ehhh not sure it it was so much disappearing... but more of "Kadary wasn't giving up the ball" in the final sequences of Reg/1st OT.

Haven't re-watched the game (duh... lol) - but i remember one specific possession where Kadary was essentially doubled and could have kicked it out to RJ for a wide-open 3...

I would have to rewatch the game (though I will not lol) as the second half was sort of a blur of sh*t, but Luis disappointed me because he stopped doing Luis like things. He stopped being a pest around the rim, he stopped attacking rebounds. There were a couple times last night where Zuby was trying to put a body on Omier, and we just needed ANYONE else to jump in and help fight on the glass. This lack of commitment to rebounding as a team was present in the Carnesseca games we played and reared its ugly head last night.

He was by far the top guy on a far less talented seton hall team last year that should have made the tournament. I’m sick that we lost but some of these comments are insane and I’m generally a pessimist.

This team is far more talented than any team we’ve had in recent memory and we have a hall of fame coach to boot. All is not lost.

Last night was a brutal loss. No way to sugar coat they should’ve won that game. Of course, before the season most were skeptical that we would even have a shot versus Baylor. Oh well.

Now we can all piss and moan (we do that best!) but the team MUST refocus and get the next two. They have no time for that. This wasn’t the NCAA Tournament. We have more games. Don’t forget the goal. Making the Tournament and winning some games there is. All of that is still out in front of this team. Let’s go!

I think we can stop mentioning richmond and the nba in the same sentence. There is a reason he is playing a 5th year in college. His shot is dreadful looking. Nice player, glad we have him but the nba talk w/ him is silly.

Luis also missed a wide open 3 from the wing down the stretch. Was a killer miss in that spot.

Anyone know the severity of Brady's injury? I felt he would have had a role in the game tonight.
