Bad news- Obekpa leaving SJU

kind of unfair even to the point of ridiculous to put this in the light of the "new coach" don't you think?

New coach same drama. When are we going to achieve stability?

We have achieved stability, we are just starting from a lower level then we imagined two - three months ago.
Anyone who can't see that is blind or doesn't want to accept reality.

You are misunderstanding me. I have nothing against the new coach but wished that drama would end. Always something with our program.

Obekpa and Jordan always equalled drama. Nothing anyone could have done to change that.

At the end of the day, I lost a lot of respect for him with his selfish behavior and attitude towards his teammates with his drug use. Still think what they could have accomplished had he had more self control.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I hope so. I was hopeful and looking forward to seeing him make progress but Obekpa leaving means Obekpa should leave. The opportunity was his, not the other way around. So I'm not going to cry over this one bit. This just means that the house is clean. The new guys can build their own core without the baggage.

Good riddance.

Now its imperative that we get the Greek kid. He can be sold on being a starter from day 1 and even potentially become the focal point of the offense if he's capable

In the long run, a clean sweep is not such a bad thing IMHO
Jordan and Obekpa were both more trouble than they were worth
At least they can't poison the new kids coming into the program
Gives Mullin a complete fresh start with the kids that will be in the rotation

Bottom line we lose very little on his departing.Any center we put on the floor will gives us overall more productivity. Yes he blocks shots but so do other big men. Claose games he was a liability.
Looking for to play without him!!

He let us down already. No need for him to continue to poison the rest of the team.

the thing that irks me is them pretending to be committed than not, than committed than not. Im done , like most, and all these kids did was give fans unrealistic expectations because they imply they are 100% but have never been here for the team. Give me Marcus Hatten and Phil Missere over Obekpa and Jordan any day of the week! Kids you can root for
I hope this is the end of the "Jordan/Obekpa" drama for good. Now, you officially have the keys Coach Mully

Say what you want. To me, it's obvious Mr. Google has inside scoop. My guess is this means he is leaving.
