Available Lead Guards

Someone forgot to tell Dual the aura guy left. McNeese’s 15 minutes are over 😀
man... what a spiral huh?

I remember reports of Taliek going out for an in-home with him once Cooley left Prov... Prov->Hall->McNeese (w/out Wade!)

Hopefully he gets it together

Not sure why people are not in favor of a freshman, Lewis, being our point guard. Our last two freshman point guards, Shamorie and Posh, did very wekk for themselves their first year.
Amen to that. But as a 20-25 minute a game player in the beginning. Then we shall see how Mr. Lewis can work a backcourt with Ian.
Remember, Lewis can play PG and off the ball.

Think everyone would love it but seems like too small of a roll if he's being offered $2m+. Can just buy him next year to be the starter for that price rather than pay it 2 years

Some Freshmen can play day 1...especially guards. Barkley, Cook, Lovett, Ponds, Posh, etc. are evidence of that here. Man, how good was Lovett right out of the gate?

The recent evidence we are going off of is freshmen haven't done well here under Pitino. Even Clayton was underwhelming for him at Iona playing several levels below where he belonged. The defensive stuff can be overwhelming for them as you know from watching practice.

From Louisville on, some really good guards have struggled year 1 for him. Even Donovan Mitchell.
Pitino hated playing freshman point guards

Plus-Wilcher was supposed to be the heir apparent at PG here. Didn't work out that way,

Where is LMF and the list of guards out there.

I'd be fine with either:
Tevari Johnson (Akron)
Dezayne Mingo (Marshall)

These require some convincing:
Jason Drake (Drexel)
Dylan Darling (Idaho St)
Jordon Ross (St. Mary's)

Was busy arguing an appeal in the 2nd Department. Having now scrolled through the past 5 pages of this thread I'm not even sure what thread it is.

But it would be cool to have Minko as the announcer for Mingo (we could also go with candy gram for Mingo).

I don't know why people are perplexed Sha let Garwey Dual go, having nobody is better than having Garwey Dual.

And I agree with Panther, Acaden Lewis seems clearly the best PG option out there if it's doable.

Willing to wait and see on Ian Jackson at the point but I gotta say "bigger Daniss Jenkins" did not give me the warm fuzzies and I would love to see a veteran, pass-firsr, defense-oriented PG on this roster.

And Dillon Mitchell.

A Mike Rutherford or even a Jamal Branch type would be nice.

Lavin's first team did not have a traditional point guard starting. Dwight Hardy started. What they did have in DJ Kennedy, Paris Horne, and Justin Brownlee were players who could handle the ball and create shots for themselves and others.

While I would a traditional PG, it is not a necessity.

Did Booth start at the beginning of the year? I know he came off the bench when we started to play well and Hardy played the point the majority of the time.
