Perhaps its either or regarding Hsu and Borman. Gotta remember its just as much about recruiting as it is coaching and he probably wants familiarity.

Cleveland maybe coming in an ops role.

Bottom line is they are going to have a staff up and down who have experience in recruiting in college and grass roots basketball.

Hope not. I am not a fan of hiring family. Never hire someone you can't fire.

Cleveland seems like a great coach whether he’s family or not, it’s not like with Jarvis when we got stuck with the Deuce!!

I believe he's a protege, instead of relative as mentioned by SJU61982 and Paultz.

Edit: articles I read saidbhe was a former player for Anderson.
Related or not, that’s a good bio. I like this

“became known as a tireless worker and recruiter”

I just read that SJU is looking to hire Andy Borman as ass't coach in July. I never heard of Andy but read that he is connected to an AAU team who have a number of players that SJU is recruiting.
This is the most sensible statement I have read about SJU in four years.

It’s more than that. He is a Duke grad and married to Coach K’s daughter. He helps run the NY Rens but is also qualified for the asst role.

His bio

Andy Borman: A graduate of Duke University (2004), Andy Borman has coached at the college (Univ. of California & San Jose State Univ.), Prep School (IMG Academy, Florida), and AAU level for over a decade. He has coached and helped over 75 players receive Division 1 scholarships and countless more play at the Division II & III levels. A member of the 2001 National Championship team and 2004 Final Four team at Duke, Andy has played with and coached/trained numerous players that went on to play professional basketball in the NBA, D-League, and Europe. Andy was hired as the Executive Director of the RENS in August 2014, and also coaches the 17U EYBL Renaissance team. He currently resides in Brooklyn with his wife, Shawn Catherine Borman and son, Leo Alexander Borman. (ABorman@nyrhoops.org)

If I'm not mistaken, I think his mother is Coach K's wife's sister. Had trouble just typing that out, ha.
