It's actually great for St. John's. St. John's still has Xavier on the schedule for a home game, Xavier should get a big bump in the NET for a blowout road win against a team with a top 15 NET. If Xavier can win a couple more and get that NET into the 30's , and St. John's beat them at home (which should be favored in), it could possibly end up being a Q1 win.
Big East and/or St. John's fans should be rooting for teams like Xavier, Georgetown, St. John's, and DePaul to beat the upper echelon teams like Butler, Seton Hall, Villanova, and Creighton. These teams are a lock for the NCAA tournament only thing beating them hurts is their seeding, when the bottom Big East teams that I mentioned above beat those teams, they knock bubble teams in other conference out of the field, most notable the Big 10, who currently has 12 teams projected in the field, with several on the bubble.
