I would attempt to recruit him, if I was in our staff's shoes.

Otis, would you like to take back some of the praise you heaped on JT3 after Dickerson's commitment or are you willing to give him the full recruiting cycle to add someon else--something you have never been willing to give to Lavin.

When you have gotten about 7 commitments from bigs in the last 2 years you can afford to lose one. Maybe he decommitted because he saw a logjam at his position. We lost that kid Gathers and took 3 years to add a rebounder.

We'll see, but WoJo seems to be a good choice at Marquette. Nice strategy here to get a blue chipper?

Will Wally's brother, Henry, follow him to Marquette?

Sounds like they have a good shot. It helps that they play different positions:

"Henry Ellenson is a 6-foot-9 power forward going into his senior season at Rice Lake. He is being recruited by most of the major powers, including Duke, North Carolina and UCLA. Henry visited Marquette last week. He's such a major recruit that new MU president Mike Lovell even got in on the process.
"I’d love to play with my brother," Wally said. "He’s a very good player. But I’m a brother first. I made my decision and now he’s got to make his. It would be great if we were at the same school, but he’s got to look at all his opportunities and go from there."

As for Wally, the 6-foot-6 forward was known more for his track career with the Gophers.

Ellenson is a two-time All-America in the high jump and was runner-up in the event in 2013-14 at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships. His personal-best mark of 2.25 meters (7-04.50 ft.) at the national meet was the second-best outdoor mark in Minnesota history.

“We are thrilled to welcome Wally to the Marquette men’s basketball family,” coach Steve Wojciechowski said. “Wally is a young man of outstanding character. He is an elite-level athlete and adds talent, athleticism, and competitive spirit to our basketball team. We are extremely excited about the impact he will have at Marquette.”

I know we had our own baggage once but isn't nice to know that we no longer have to deal with programs like this being affiliated with the Big East

@_robanderson: Stu Jackson named Senior Associate Commissioner, Men’s Basketball for @BIGEAST. Had been @NBA's ex-Executive Vice President, Basketball Ops.

More NBA than Big East, but tonight we can see Doug McDermott and the Bulls take on the Sixers in Las Vegas on ESPN 3 (10 EDT). So far, McDermott is doing the Big East proud, averaging 20.3 ppg (on .485 FG shooting & .524 3-pt shooting), 3.7 rpg, and 3.7 apg in three games. Here's hoping he keeps it going.

No longer Big East news but I thought some on here would appreciate this article. Looks like that move to the Big12 is really paying off for West Virginia football.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia University football season ticket sales are as low as they’ve been in nine years, but the Mountaineers are working with, as opposed to against, a supposed obstacle to boost future sales.......

@PaintTouches: Source confirms to PT that Todd Mayo is no longer with the Marquette program. @RealGM reported first. #mubb

@PaintTouches: Mayo will pursue a professional career, likely to sign with D-League with hopes of entering name in next year's NBA Draft. #mubb
