Neither Cooley or Miller are on hot seat next year.
The BE needs more strength beyond the top 4 or 5 teams. If Nova gets a better HC who can quickly get them moving in right direction, that positively impacts the League prestige & revenue. I think GT is on right track and perhaps Holtmann can get DePaul cooking.

Agree. But I am still uncertain about DePaul. They have been so bad for so long, they made SJU look like a blue blood. Holtmann will certainly improve that program, but I think DePaul has a ceiling.
Then I could see Holtmann moving on to the Big 12 (he may still have weird memories of the Big 10), before be has to worry about any postseason failures at DePaul
He did not say there is a lot of NIL money coming his way. He said he expected to see improvements, but was still going to keep checking to see if it gets there.
Besides, I think Holloway is too smart to claim NIL victory early, as he could end up having egg on his face.

Of course everyone realizes that for the bottom teams to improve the top teams would have to lose more.
If every team in the conference finished 10 and 10, how many NCAA bids would the BE get?
All teams have to improve their out of conference performance, as this year’s SEC teams did and the Old Big East used to do, to get 6 or 7 bids.
I never said you had to change your opinion of their NIL situation. My point was that I think you grossly overstated Holloway by saying “there is tons of NIL money coming his way”.
Holloway is still seems more hopeful than certain the money is coming. There is no there, there yet, and I am pretty certain he will be monitoring regularly.
Besides, expecting more money from an NIL pool that was one of the lowest is hardly a way for them to “get back on track.”
I don't think its a zero sum game. Big East can see marked improvements and still have a clear top tier. The easiest way to show that would be by much better OOC performance. Almost everyone flopped in that regard, except Marquette (and maybe Creighton?).
The other important thing is that the basement of the Big East cannot be a sub-200 NET (aka, Seton Hall), and ideally, everyone is within 100. We've got Depaul at 120, Providence 101. Butler and Georgetown are 88 and 83, which really is bad for your #8 and #7 school.
The Big 12, for example, OK State is the worst team and their NET is 97. Next worst is Colorado at #86 and TCU at #78. They've also got four schools in the top 11 in NET, while STJ is the only school in the top 25 at #14.
We're a small conference, which is fun and I'd prioritize keeping the round robin. But Pitino knows its a schedule killer to play eight games per year against terrible teams.
Terribly run team. All one-on-one, and that isn't sustainable for 40 minutes. I lost count at the # of step-back threes they threw up. Allowing Dixon to live on the perimeter is complete negligence. Everyone on that team can shoot from deep...they have nothing inside. He could kill teams inside.

Yep, specifically said they wouldn't lose their jobs next year but if they don't make a jump in 25-26 it's going to be s*** or get off the pot time for them in 26-27
Miller specifically is not in trouble.
First off last year was done in by devastating injuries.
Then this year he had 2 big injuries again including Freemantle again. Now Freemantle came back.
Keep in mind they started 0-4 in league and rallied for 13-7 which is a terrific job.
You guys have to relax, you want everyone fired.

Seems to me they run the same system Jay Wright did just not as good at it. No jump steps in the lane with choice of pivot moves etc. Could be wrong ? Agree totally with how they utilized Dixon !

I do not think you are correct. The Wright system was to drive the ball into the lane (often with a PG or a strong wing) and then kick it out and cycle around the perimeter for an open 3, using pump-fakes on defenders who were scrambling to cover the rotation. It is true that driving with a small and putting a big on the perimeter to pull out the opposing big (thus making the drive into the lane easier and more likely to draw help) was an element of that and it isn't crazy to have Dixon out on the perimeter (where this year he was a tremendous 3 point shooter).
But all I saw from Nova last night and at many points this season was one pass and then one-on-one play - mostly either Poplar or Dixon being left to create for themselves.
Unwatchable basketball.
