Around the Big East

Marquette's Dawson Garcia is entering the transfer portal,

Garcia is also an early entrant to the NBA Draft. A return to Marquette is also possible.

UConn now has two ESPN 100 commitments in the 2022 class, No. 51 Donovan Clingan and No. 81 Corey Floyd. One of just five programs with multiple top-100 commitments at this point in the recruiting cycle. Up to 10 ESPN 100 commitments in the last four classes for the Huskies.

I don't know if this is a promotion or not, but I agree......at least he'll cause less damage upstairs.

If the current jumping leagues ends up with the ACC losing a few members and they are forced to consider Conn even with their pathetic football program Conn will desert the big east in a second. Their bags are currently being packed.

As the article mentions, UConn agreed to a $30 million exit fee If they exit within the first 6 years. I don't believe the school is willing to stomach that anytime soon, especially still recovering from the pandemic.

Regardless, the good news is that even if UConn did bail on us again, the Big East would be just fine.
