Around the Big East

Yes, but the fact that this game broke records with SJU playing (without UConn involved) is great for this program.

It shows that if run correctly, SJU proved it can be an elite marketable program. Recruits, their families, and agents have all saved the program’s number as a favorite.

UConn loves to pose in the mirror and flex its popularity. While SJU is not UConn yet, but SJU does get a seat at the head of the table now as well. We will have a big say in what the BE does going forward.

We are a media giant. It's an uncomfortable reality for football schools. Imagine if we didn't alienate an entire generation of fans by losing for 20 years?

There certainly is a lot of catching up to do.

But hopefully the Garden attendance and the TV ratings were indicators that fans were lurking all along, but were not going to waste money on a bad product. Now they have something worthwhile to follow.

Seeing so many kids with their families at games is amazing.

There's also always a new crop of 20-30 something year olds who move to NYC or have lived here, who don't have a college basketball affiliation but love hoops & want an affordable option to the Knicks, who are ready to jump on the bandwagon. The amount of friends in my life who've told me they've gone to a St. John's fan out of nowhere has been so surprising.
