Watching Georgetown I think we should win easily. Their backcourt does not look like it can handle our defense.

Georgetown makes stupid decisions with the ball but they’re rock solid defensively and got Sorber, who’s elite. Reminds me of Newell from Georgia. They’re a year away from being a top 25 program. Mack needs to add 10-15lbs of muscle and he will be an all-BE guy.
UConn scares me. I do think we’re even-ish, maybe we’re better. But they have athletes and can explode offensively with 3s. Add McNeeley, and their young guys developing + chemistry, I can see their peak being higher than ours. Not impressed at all by Johnson or Diarra.

Interesting looking at the player ratings at EvanMiya.com. Marquette has Kam Jones and then UConn has three players ahead of Marquette's second best player. And all five of our starters are ahead.

UConn is a final 4 / National championship contender again this year. Think we’re half a notch or notch below them
Including their shooting, defensive commitment and recruiting. Solid, well coached program you have to say.

2 great things to happen to uconn this year:
1- Losing 3 in maui. Humbled them.
2- Mcneely injury. Gives all these guys a month to get more playing time and learn how to play together.
When mcneely returns, they will just skyrocket right to their 3rd straight natty.

I’m also not convinced by their defense.
Yeah, limited rebounding from five spot guy Samson too.
Their 3 point capability is a differentiator from us. They’ll be tough but we played them well last year. Should be 2 battles.
They aren’t competing for a title this year. Sweet 16 maybe Elite 8 is the ceiling.
Yes I think they’re vulnerable to our pressure. And our size up front could get Sorber in foul trouble.

PG is not the problem. The only issue they have is that Karaban did not step up and become that next level college basketball player.
Big reason for Hoya resurgence is on the bench--Ed Cooley, a dam good coach
