Around the Big East 25-26

I think the staff, and Rick, misread the PG market. They thought more guys would jump in, and then things got expensive. In general, I always like the idea of having a homegrown guy on the roster to prevent this.

Thankfully I was wrong about Darling and he can play at this level. But that second one would make me feel a lot better.
Wasn't Darling out vs. Alabama?
Quinnipiac & W&M isn't at this level.

I'd say we'll find out about him next week.

Perfect addition to complement Demary

I think Diarra is an excellent comp for Smith. Did not understand why the staff did not try to sign him when he was available. Diarra was never a high-level PG but he was capable and a competitor. We could have used that despite the desire at the time to try to land a bigger fish. And as it turned out would have paired well with Darling. Oh well.

U Conn is going to be very, very tough. Good thing we don't play them for a long time as I think we will improve markedly as the season goes on.

Sitting room only

Yeah I don't get why the Hall would think playing New Haven at the Garden was a good idea. Can't imagine the Garden donated the space to them and there was no way they were making any money or getting any juice out of that. They should save their money for NIL

#3 Uconn vs #4 Arizona tonight on FS1

Marquette vs Dayton not a bad game either

nova also plays La Salle in their first Big 5 game. The Big 5 games were a horror for them under Neptune, will be interesting to see if Willard can get it straightened out in year 1

Game was in Newark, but yes a poor business decision to play in a professional arena or any other facility with a capacity north of 4k.

I agree with you, but its these things that should make the Big East and applicable programs start to consider maybe they aren't a match

Ah - thought I heard on the radio this morning that the game was at the Garden, either announcer mis-spoke or I mis-heard. But yes, still a dopey decision IMO
