Around the Big East 25-26

pukon just barely held on, almost blowing a 20 pt. lead. Everybody but Demary looked lost during that spell, including Karaban, who as the senior leader, needed to step up.

Dybasta is the goods, if he played the first half like he played the second pukon would have been in trouble.

Watched a bit of the GT game yesterday…have to see more before I would say that they have improved to a significant degree. Was glad to see Vince playing pretty well.

They still haven’t generated any buzz - 8,562 polite attendees.

Early but UConn at this point has better guards than Johnnies and also has advantage of returning more solid guys like Karaban, Bell, Stewart, Ross and Reed.

Of course we can beat them, but just noting the obvious at this early juncture. Retooling the entire SJU backcourt takes time and is complicated.

I dont believe the $ was there , we had already spent our big money. Hopefully Dylan shows he is à BE pg and that Ian can give us 15 minutes à game at thé pg spot.
There was money for a pg earlier for sure but that price went up huge and staff just like a professional staff has a budget to work with and allocated resources accordingly

And they did like Dylan a lot

Yes and they spent the original pg money on Ian.
Weren’t they recruiting Jackson and Lee at the same time and didn’t they take their visits within that same weekend (mega haul weekend)? Just wondering if it was going to be one or the other or was there a world we could have got both.

Most of us here would have done the same thing and those who wouldn’t will begrudgingly like Darling. Not because they have to but because he deserves it
I like Darling and I am very happy he is here but there were doubts from day 1 that Ian could be a top notch pg on a top team. Every other player we got in the portal made sense if they were going to be played at their regular position.

You definitely have to pay for the hometown kid who looked like he has the skills to be a 17 ppg guy. He just needs to realize that on a stacked roster that doesn't need to be his output, but he needs to play like a 17 ppg guy would in whatever minutes he gets.

I’d bet anything that there’s those in his camp that are looking at numbers through three games, see that he is leading the team in scoring per 40 minutes, and are complaining about his usage already.

Per EvanMiya Jackson has been very good so far, third best player and defender in the team, from an efficiency standpoint (per minute)
