Preseason rankings are a complete farce. They should be banned. This is professional college basketball. Gone are the cute days of silly terms like student-athlete, amateurism, and pride.

I agree with your first sentence but banned? It is no different than those who predict who will win the divisions and ultimate championship in the more traditional professional sports. It’s all just click bait, ratings and viewers. It’s all meaningless. The actual games and results will make the final determination.

And will look better with more talent around him this year. Just had to try to do too much last year, even with Ball and McNeely. Though I continue to be of the opinion that a chunk of UConn's issue last year was Hurley trying to pound square pegs into round holes, which I guess he basically admitted now. But anyway I expect Karaban to be more efficient this year.
