2024 BE salary/bonus data

According to this, Pitino and Shaheen Holloway make about the same amount of money. That makes no sense. The NYPost and others had reported that Pitino signed a 6-year $20 million contract, so something is off with these numbers. Maybe it's a timeframe issue.

We definitely got a major bargain on his contract. He did make sure during negotiation that his staff got paid though.

That is what St. John’s is directly paying him. I am sure there are additional funding coming from other sources that is part of his employment package.
The chart included income from other sources.

As SJU 85 said there are other sources.
Didn’t need to say as it was in the chart and he still ranks much lower than he should and that is the point and the point of my post that it doesn’t make up the difference of his lower end salary.

What Pitino makes ain't my business. He appears to be happy here, at home in New York. What he has accomplished in just two years at St John's is mind boggling. 31-5 last year and on the front and back pages of the local newspapers. 18-2 in the Big East, Regular Season and Big East Tournament Championships.

Coach Pitino's focus is to win a National Championship at St John's. Once he accomplishes this, his Legacy as one of the best, if not the best college coach of all time, will be cemented.

In case y'all haven't noticed, Coach Pitino plays Chess, not Checkers.

OK, I took a look at the guy's blog on this. The number he references for Pitino is not pulled from 2024. It is actually from calendar year 2023, and since Pitino didn't get hired until late March it only represents about 9 months of his compensation. So do the math and it works out to an annualized compensation of about $3.2 million, which is what the NYPost and others had reported. That would put Pitino ahead of McDermott, which would make sense.

I hate when bloggers like this post such misleading stuff.
