There is so much misinformation out there on salaries.OK, I took a look at the guy's blog on this. The number he references for Pitino is not pulled from 2024. It is actually from calendar year 2023, and since Pitino didn't get hired until late March it only represents about 9 months of his compensation. So do the math and it works out to an annualized compensation of about $3.2 million, which is what the NYPost and others had reported. That would put Pitino ahead of McDermott, which would make sense.
I hate when bloggers like this post such misleading stuff.
That said imagine being a Seton Hall fan (wherever they are) and reading something from a CBB blog that says Sha and Pitino make the same salary. Than find the bridge you would jump from.
