Around the Big East 25-26

Probably so. I've sat near drunk & obnoxious fans from virtually every team over the years including Met, Yankee, Knick & St. Johns fans. Been six years since I attended a Nova game live but my experience has always been they are generally a pretty civilized bunch especially compared to some of their Big East brethren.
Agree. I've sat next to Nova fans a few times at MSG. They were not obnoxious. Had good conversations with them throughout the game discussing both teams.

I think that UConn losing a stud like McNeely and having no go-to replacement for a big threat like that is going to hurt them a lot. Same could be said about sju losing an RJ Luis, but we replace him either several guys who can be big threats like Jackson, Sanon, Hopkins etc who will draw defenses for different reasons.

McNeely is a very talented and strong kid, but he had some nightmare stretches for them in key games. He would have been so much better on a balanced team where he was able to pick his spots. He was their only consistent threat to beat you one-on-one from the perimeter. That's a tough as for a combo forward. I feel like I saw him miss like 6-7 of the exact same driving layups in a row at one point at the end of the season.

Their recruiting class is absolutely bonkers...they are all skilled. I don't know how they were able to retain guys like Ross and Stewart in this portal era. It defies logic. They could be playing 30 minutes for power 5 teams.

Imagine in ten years when someone asked him where he went to school.
BTW the league record for the 3 years at 3 schools are as follows: 22-23 Texas Tech Big 12: 5-13, 23-24 DePaul Big East: 0-20 and 24-25 Pacific WCC 4-14.

So this kid has played on 3 teams with a combined 9-47 league record. And the team he is joining just went 2-18....JFC...

Respect UConn as well. Their guard cadre is better and deeper, a problem last year w their backup PG over his head. As much as I respect Coach McD, I think losing that Ashworth/Kalk two man game is hard to replace. I feel UConn and SJU will be neck and neck for top spot in BE. It may take a little time for our roster to click, but the battles w UConn will be great games. Both squads should do a lot of damage in the Dance as well. Hopefully some other teams in the league are much improved, nothing worse than a top heavy BE.

At our Quarterfinal game vs Nova (when we blew a 19 pt lead) - I guess the seats I got were next to some heavy Nova donors- nice guys- let me put on “one of” his championship rings… it was cool… but I felt dirty after…

When I think of that type of question my mind goes back to John Belushi in Animal House and his GPA, Mr. Blutarski...ZERO point ZERO.

A testament to the seriousness of a college education for some

Guard play was awful and it hurt him. Their guard play will be really good this year. I’m throwing $100 on them to win it all. Demary couldn’t be a better fit for what they do and I love Malachi Smith in that role.
That is fair. Their guard play was bad when I saw them

So forget the "It's not you, it's me" theory.

I think UConn is going to be strong this year. Another year of improvement for Solo Ball with Karaban back is huge. Demary can play at this level and Reed is a solid enough big. A lot of their success is going to depend on guys taking the next step like Jayden Ross and Jaylin Stewart. They have 3 solid freshmen in Furphy, Reibe and Mullins that profile as impact players but can they do so in year 1? Hurley's system is intricate and not many freshmen pick it up quick. It took Steph Castle half the season and he was a lotto pick. UConn and SJU has turned into one of the premier rivalries in the sport, I think this year will certainly build on that
