There are various levels of dislike (you’re right and I would add Providence to that list) but the only fans that like Yukon’s fans are themselves. And they dislike Yukon as much as we do.
Solid school, solid fan base, when they used to "invade" the Garden they weren't half as bad as some other schools. Philly main line has $$$. They are not the typical Eagles/Phillies/Flyers rowdies.Nova fans are 90% classy end of story
Incredibly decent guy, outstanding coach and unlike so many of his peers, not so full of himself.McD is awesome.
Tom Moore, new UConn GM on a shift in their recruiting approach, more like SJU’s.
Arbitello is rumored in running for gig at Division 2 “Whine State”I am sure Joe Arbitello will be outraged.
For some reason I thought Painter did a two-year coach in waiting stint under Keady, so I thought maybe Huss was on that timeline with McD.When Huss was announced it seemed to be this would be Greg's swan song year. Why else would they have made such a big hire and announce him as coach in waiting if it wasn't imminent. These comments further hammer that home for me....think all Greg wants is to put Creighton in the best position possible for coaching continuity. So Huss gets a full offseason and season to learn it under his wing and then takeover.
Is it me or is this UConn team being overrated a bit?I like their PG’s think they have an advantage there for sure. Aside from that I think our lineup blows theirs away. We waxed them several times last year and it wasn’t really close. Sellers/Ian Jackson (he’ll get plenty of time at the 2) are better than Ball, and Ball is good. McNeely who was by far their best player is gone, and I don’t see anybody capable of replacing him. Alex Karaban doesn’t impress me all that much. Stretch 4 who only makes those outside shots if not well-guarded. Has nowhere near the ability at PF to overcome Hopkins, Mitchell, Prey. I like Tarris Reed a lot, but we have Zuby.Stop it! lol....
Nah- theyll be real good. but think by the time we play them... we should be clickin and out talent/depth should Trump theirs...

Creighton on the other hand, really nailed the portal and will be very, Very good.
Yup, I think UCONN is absolutely loaded. Love Karaban as a player. Even if he struggles with the shot some, like last year, he is a "star glue guy" that does a million things to help winning. Ball will be one of the best scoring guards in the country IMO. Reed is a force down low especially if Hurley can get him to play with intensity all the time (understand they battled some during the season about this). Demary and Smith, plus the talented freshman and Stewart who could make a leap.See, last year I thought U Conn was overrated. This year I don't, in no small part because of the return of Karaban. They're almost like a higher-level version of Marquette now - they have Year 2 of Reed, Year 3 (I think) of Ball, Year 9 of Karaban. Having that continuity from three high-level players is huge in this day and age. They're really strong at the point with Demary and Smith, who both bring the toughness Hurley wants and which was missing from their team last season. Add in the other pieces and they are very, very good.
Creighton lost a ton with Kalkbrenner and Ashworth and has a lot of pieces coming in, but it wouldn't surprise me if there are some growing pains there while McDermott teaches them to play Creighton basketball.
Same thing for us, with the added complication of one basketball and many guys who are going to want it in their hands.
Both Jay Wright & McDermott are kind of irreplaceable. We were very lucky to have both.Pure class. Creighton & Big East lucky to have him.
