Supposedly the big east is in a down year. Not so. DePaul playing tough. Seton Hall, great win, strong on the boards. Providence with
Cooley, Creighton with McDermott, nuff said.

There will be no dominant team. Too much talent spread thru the league. Would not surprised if the winner ha 4 or 5 losses.
Non ranked Big East teams taking down #9 and #12 today! Great for the conference!

Absent a big comeback from Creighton, look like BE will go 4-4 today with big wins over Wisconsin & Kentucky. A good day overall.

Marquette with wins over K State, Wisconsin and Louisville with credible losses to Indiana on the road and Kansas in Brooklyn. And they still have Buffalo on their schedule. Another chance for a quality win.

I was surprised that SH allowed the final shot in regulation. Should have fouled prior to the shot.

Keith Williams, a Bishop Loughlin grad who we didn´t offer, scored 16 points for Cincy. He is averaging 10 points per game as sophomore.

The Garden and Big East announce press conference to make “special announcement” at halftime of Iona-Columbia today.

One would guess BE Tourney extension. Take that ACC & Big Ten! :)

Hope so... that would be great. The Big East Tourney is a sure thing for all parties and has a long and successful history. Lock it in...

So far they look like the best team in the league. They definitely have the best balance of talent and depth and thats without soph Greg Elliott who should be back soon. That second conference game will be a key game for us at home. Also SHU is going to be a tournament team imo, that win over Kentucky was impressive. They have played a tough OOC schedule and it has paid off for them so far. Howard and Powell can match Ponds output so we will need more than just Ponds going off to win.

Stayed at #32 overall. Here is the breakdown of SJU voters.

https://collegepolltracker.com/basketball/team/st-johns-red-storm/2018
Will have to win 1st 2 BE games for us to get into top 25
Seems that way. But also not many of the teams ahead of us are losing much.

I don't think our OOC schedule warrants us being rated at this point.
