Game of musical chairs and same top 50 teams will be only ones that matter. I just don't see how any non power conference can justify paying anyone or even boosters at these mid to low majors throwing $ at wind

Pretty sure most in football end up regretting it. I'm looking forward to some disaggregated data that breaks this all down. Portal has been around a few years. I'm sure someone has done some work on it.
Right now everyone is looking to be a starter. The teams that can retain and add to their depth will be successful.
Agreed, and mid majors who can feast on guys who would have been 4 year bench contributors at high majors will still have the ability to succeed.

Wow, absolutely brutal. Have to think these tournaments will start offering NIL soon. Loved The Bahamas trip and would be a shame if we don't go there again.
You think that's bad, look at Maui. They usually have 4 or more top 10 teams, 3 or more blue bloods.
Boise State joins a talented field that features Arizona State, North Carolina State, Seton Hall, Texas, USC, Washington State, and host Chaminade.
The Bahamas setup was fantastic this year, happy I went as it looks like it was just in time. I remember how special the Holiday Festival was, and the MTEs destroyed it.

Yep I agree, and ultimately I want the school to do whatever is best for the team of course (NIL).
Once the TV contracts need to be renewed Maui/Atlantis/etc. are going to start earning a lot less for these teams, and I'm not sure if the hotels will fill to capacity with half the field being mid-majors. Surprised these tournaments haven't adapted to NIL yet, it's only going to get worse until they do.
